Today I am sharing a series of small wins… and applause for @Rositsa Aleksandrova For a little context… I’m a flight attendant for a major airline. When I’m not flying, you’ll usually find me doing something creative., shooting photos, attending music events, DJing, trying to route modular synthesizers with my partner Johnny or maybe we are just rearranging our whole studio because the energy is stuck ?!! I mostly create in LA but no matter where I am in the world, I’m always collecting stories. LA just happens to be where most of them come to life. I love storytelling — songwriting, poetry (diving into creative writing) and also building my Skool project (Ink & Alchemy). Anyway, Friday I started with a surprise. I was assigned a work trip to Hawaii that gets me home the morning of a concert I thought I was going to miss. That means I get to see Boris Brejcha on Sunday. 🎉WIN#1 he will perform with an orchestra and I am so into this!!! Johnny got us super hyped box seats with some friends 🖤🖤🖤 Then I logged into Ink & Alchemy and saw that we had another new member join the community. Win #2. (We are averaging 1 every 2 days) great progress Then yesterday, I found out I won Poem of the Week in another writing community. Win #3 (Art of Poetry) My poem was about lingering questions I had from a dream I had Friday night… Then today I saw my lovely friend, Ro, share that she is booked to play Utopia. I literally jumped up and down for her. Seeing good things happen to the people you love is a win too. ❤️ (win number 4) It’s funny how life works. Some days feel heavy, I’ve had plenty of those. And plenty of time to ruminate. In some ways the rumination can become the “fuel” for art if you release it right. I have done that too: in paintings, songs poems etc Anyway, today all small wins remind me that I am moving in the right direction. (Also applying to those around me) applause again for Ro “Everything in perfect time” Love Nikki
