This silver scarf used to be a dress I bought in the Zara sales… I had always wanted to convert it into a scarf similar to something I had seen in YSL but priced much much higher. The fabric was very slippery so I used tissue paper to try and stop it from moving too much. Now the Gold jacket was something I had made in a tailoring class. I had some left over fabric so I made a tie with it. Could be worn as a belt, hair accessory or a tie…

Well hello everyone, here we go! The background story on this dreadful jumpsuit / bag; in february I shaved off my hair because of the upcoming chemo. My daughter Juni and I wanted to at least also have some fun with it, so we bought some stuff on Vinted, like a couple of enormous wigs and a big straw summer hat. And this blue suit, that came from the same lady as the hat did. I thought it could be fun, but it wasn't, it was so ugly 🤣. obiously I didn't wear it this summer. Perfect piece for a conversion! I cut off the top and made the legs a little longer / crotch a little higher. I used the lower part of an old black t-shirt as a new strapless top (with the twilly as fake straps! Probably will never wear it like this, but had to try 😊) or just as a waist band. The twilly was made from the sleaves and top part of the shirt and a few smaller pieces of the blue suit. There are little fabric balls from the suit on the ends of the twilly. When I first saw the video about the twilly last week, I was a little unsure what to do because it felt like something I would never wear. But Leisa inspired me to use two different garments (so thanks again Leisa) and I really enjoyed making this! Can't even say I love the result that much, but I had a lot of fun today just playing around with it. Sothanks Kate for introducing something new 😊
