Books about Composing for Games or Movies
Hey everyone. I love to read and I do it a lot. Never have I thought about reading into Composing. Does anybody know good books to look for that cover the topic Game music or Movie music? Something like an artbook like the "Arcane" one from League of Legends. Does anything like that exist? I would really love to read some.

Hi Dilara, I just started reading "The Game Music Toolbox" which seems interesting to me. Because I'm not advanced composer, I don't always understand everything that is mentioned so sometimes I have to Google, YouTube or ChatGPT. You may like it because it gives examples of the game, some of the techniques and interviews with the composers.
Muted.io
Hi everyone, I came across this really helpful music theory website called muted.io. It's for anyone that wants to brush up on their sight reading, chords, scales, rhythm etc.
I made music for a Card Game 🔥 Rise Of The Demon Lord
👀 Hi there! I'm excited to share that I have composed the soundtrack for "Rise Of The Demon Lord", a dark fantasy card game created for the Inbound Shovel Jam 2025. The process was fascinating, and I would love to hear your thoughts on the songs. I aimed to reflect the style of the game’s artwork in the music. 💪 You can play Rise of the Demon lord now on itchio! https://ishinada.itch.io/rise-of-the-demon-lord

Yes, I saw this advertised yesterday and today. Is the new Discover better than the BBCSO? I started out using BBCSO but notice the limitations with it. I will have to test Discover for myself. Waiting for orher libraries to come out for Black Friday!

I really like the vibe of this 80s style trailer. I always thought trailers were these really complex pieces of music because of how they sound but in reality they follow a structure and use lots of layers for each section. Appreciate you showing us your work Alex!
