Hi everyone! I’m Audrey from Naperville, Illinois, although my husband Joe and I own and operate our short-term rental, Timberwilde Retreat, in San Antonio, Texas. I’d consider myself to be in Stage 4 – Scaling. We currently own one STR that has been closed for the past several weeks while we completed a full renovation, redesigned the guest experience, and repositioned the property to compete at a much higher level. We’re relaunching after July 7 and are already thinking about what Property #2 looks like. My 90-day goal is to successfully relaunch Timberwilde Retreat, increase our annual revenue into the upper tier of our market, continue building our direct booking foundation, and put ourselves in a position to confidently purchase our next STR. The biggest thing holding me back right now is balancing cash flow with long-term investments. Every decision seems to come down to, “Do I invest in growing the current property, or do I preserve capital for the next one?” I’m also looking for better tools and better data to help me make those decisions with confidence—which is what brought me to STRiQ.
