TO PITCH OR NOT TO PITCH?
LinkedIn tells you to connect to new contacts by doing the following DM like this: “Great to connect, thanks for connecting.” And I get it. It’s polite. But I’m running an experiment. What happens if you stop warming people up for 5 messages… and you just tell the truth in message one? Something like: “Hey, I build communities that actually move. If you’re building one (or about to), I can help. heres the link” Some people will hate that. Some people will respect it. Some people will ignore it. But at least it’s honest. And it gets you to the outcome faster. Because here’s the reality: Most people aren’t scared of pitching. They’re scared of being rejected. So I’m testing two DM styles for the next 14 days not on skool lol: Slow warm-up Direct pitch Question: If you received a DM from someone you JUST connected with… would you rather they:

I have been in business for many years, and this age old question is often repeated. To pitch or not to pitch. For me what has worked is = the first seven words @Andrew Jules . Hey I build communities that actually move. . If I am interested I would further investigate it. If not we all move on. The point is that you have introduced your services . They are here. That’s it. I am on LinkedIn since it’s early years. People know who I am - they know I exist. We will take from there. For me the excess pitching has never worked.But then that’s me. I am sure that’s different for many people.

@Andrew Jules not that much on LinkedIn. But yeah you are going to have both. Obviously the copy paste - I see it from far , and they never get a chance.

Ok Marci - there cannot be two of us. I am the king of crying so sorry that spot is taken. But seriously here is what I think. 1. You have a great camera presence.2 your subjects seem great. 3 it is a long term game - and you seem to have just started. My advice is keep at it. ( I have been at it for over a year as much as I crumble in front of Camera I do it ) more you will do the more you will get your confidence. So keep at it, and another thing. Go thru your videos again and again be your own critic. But not to put yourself down do it to correct where you think you are lacking. Like your spirit now go do it to correct @Marci Matejcek

Every day we hear about people being called influencers . But the matter of fact is that unless you understand the difference between. Just talk- persuasion and influence itself . The whole point becomes void.
