Too often as believers, we confuse "being our sister's keeper" with "carrying our sister's daily baggage." We over-extend, over-function, and swallow our own needs out of a desire to please people—only to end up exhausted, drained, and battling silent resentment. Even Jesus set boundaries. He walked away from demanding crowds, took naps in storms, and chose His inner circle very carefully. If the Savior guarded His peace, you are allowed to guard yours! I have nothing spectacular to share, nothing eventful to be excited about and honestly not at my personal best… what I will say is in spite of all that, God is still good and I am extremely blessed. I have so many things to be thankful for and I just wanted to encourage someone today to keep your eyes on the prize. Stay in the race. Look to the hills from which cometh your help. Never allow what you see to hinder what you believe. One way I stay level headed is by starting my day with an attitude of gratitude. No matter how bad it seems, when I remind myself that I have eyes to see, ears to hear, a sound mind, and a Savior that won’t give up on me, I rest assured knowing he is in control working all things out for good.
