Greetings all: nice to "meet" and I feel like I'm a little late...but I'm here now! I'm a first year doctoral student at Marymount University in Arlington, VA and I just started a tutoring business, TutorGold (tutor-gold.com). Anyone else here from the DMV area? Yikes, I'm reading the modules and didn't realize that I did not say something important: my research topic! I'm exploring the intersections of Black girlhood and education models through a qualitative study of Black girls in two U.S. cities: Seattle and Washington, DC. I'm interested in understanding educational models where Black girls feel safe, secure, and valued.Happy to answer any questions but honestly...? I stil have questions, too! 😄
