So i am completing the 30 days challenge and from the knowledge i had gained so far, i applied to a few jobs on upwork. I was able to land an interview with a client. The job proposal looked very good and promising, reviews were also very good. Now the lesson Ive learned in all of this is that, before i applied to the job, i checked everything - JD, reviews, payment verification, business with upwork. I had missed just 1 thing in all of this and that was hiring rate, which was at 40%. I didnt check that before applying. Now after 4 days of interview, and even though the client did say we will sign the contract etc, he has started ghosting and isnt replying. So, lesson learned, dont miss even the smallest of detail before applying for jobs.
