Option 1: Wait It Out β³ Most ChexSystems records remain on your report for up to 5 years before they are eligible to fall off automatically. β
Option 2: Pay for Possible Removal π¦ Visit the financial institution that reported you. βοΈ Pay the overdraft balance and any applicable fees. π Ask to speak with a branch manager and briefly explain your previous financial hardship. π€ Ask if they are willing to remove the negative reporting after payment. IMPORTANT: If they agree, do not leave without getting the agreement in writing and signed by the manager. β
