Enneagram Type 8
I am starting the type introductions videos. I will start with the body types and work our way around the circle. I just posted type 8 in the classroom and you can find it here: https://www.skool.com/unfolding/classroom/3b51b5f0?md=eba7ad3bae254477aaba5b681f508366 We all have some degree of each of these patterns so recognize how much or how little of these patterns affect you throughout your day.

This was very enlightening. I will listen to it again because there's a lot in this.
Type 3 Reflection
Type 3s often search for value through achievement, success, and recognition. As they develop, they begin to discover a deeper truth: their value is not something they earn, it is something they already possess. Reflection: Where are you still trying to prove your value, and what might change if you trusted that you are already enough?

What a great reflection and question. For me I think that I am trying to prove my value still with whether or not I am successful monetarily with with my Skool community of all things. The second question what might change is for me the ability to be present 100% present, in the moment. And this was really brought home to me recently when I was in New Mexico at one of our trainings. There's a tradition in our curandero practices that students bring gifts of gratitude to their teachers and elders. And this was an unofficial training but I was caught off guard when students began bringing me their gratitude gifts and it pushed me to be fully present as I was receiving these gifts and as they were presenting them to me. There’s a particular protocol of how the gifts are given. And it made me so aware of who I am and the value that I bring to the students and it was very eye-opening and an amazing awareness and it required me to be 100% present. At that moment I knew that I was already enough.
Spiritual Instinct Reflection
The spiritual instinct is the innate drive toward truth, awakening, and the realization of our deeper nature. It is the impulse that draws us to inquire, seek understanding, deepen awareness, and participate consciously in our own unfoldment. Unlike the instinct to survive, belong, or pursue pleasure, the spiritual instinct asks a different question: What is true? When we listen to this impulse, life becomes less about becoming someone else and more about discovering what has always been here. Reflection: How did your spiritual path begin, and what first called you to explore it more deeply?

I was in a spiritual void after my hard break with the faith I was raised in. I knew that I needed some type of connection and I also knew that I did not want dogma. So that longing for connection and the search that went with it led me through various spiritual worlds checking things out and I did a weekend workshop on shamanism. Something in that workshop clicked for me and resonated very deeply and I began a new way of connection that has opened so much life for me over these years.
Type 8 Reflection
Type Eights often move through life with strength, confidence, and a willingness to take charge. A question for today: What happens when you let people see your heart, not just your strength? Sometimes the greatest act of courage isn't taking control, it's allowing yourself to be known.

The question reminds me of when I was in ceremony a few weeks ago. there were people I know well, others I had only met. And in the moment of ceremony just doing what I do, it feels like I disappear in a good way. My whole heart can be seen during those moments.
Type 5 reflection
Type Fives naturally seek understanding. When life feels overwhelming, they often create space by stepping back, observing, and gathering knowledge before engaging. Today, notice: Are you using understanding to connect more deeply with life, or to stay at a safe distance from it? Sometimes wisdom grows not from learning more, but from fully participating in the moment that is already here.

I think I'm at a point when I step back, and I collect more knowledge I'm focused on how to make life simpler rather than more complicated!
