I'm based out of the Rockford area and like to keep a pretty busy schedule. I run my own business, Handyman-can, so you can often find me working on local construction projects and framing houses. When I trade my hammer for a keyboard, I'm deep into software development—mostly coding in Python and building out a consumer advocacy app I’m working on called Super Buyer. My world really revolves around my family. My amazing wife Rachel and I have an incredible crew of four kids: Isabella Rose (9), Mazilynn Freyja (7), Brynlee Roselyn (5), and our youngest, Asher Anthony Sigurd (3). We love spending our free time exploring the beaches and parks all over West Michigan. When I do get a minute to myself, I'm a big collector of Hot Wheels and Johnny Lightning die-cast cars, and I'm a huge Subaru enthusiast. I also love diving into my family's genealogy, exploring our French, Scottish, German, and English roots. That heritage definitely influences my appetite, too—I love a good barley fish dish, though you can also win me over anytime with a massive stack of pancakes! I actually just finished writing a children's book for my son about our family history as well. That’s enough about me, though. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the rest of you.
