Now that the season is over and summer ball is upon us, please comment your stats for the spring season below. Bragging is allowed! If you didn’t have your best season, post it so you can look back and laugh where you started.

Went 2-4 with a single and a double in a 9-5 first round sectional win. First ab, felt all over the pitcher and ended up flying out to RF. Second ab, I saw a hanging curveball and doubled into RCF. I was a little under it but I hit it far enough that it dropped in. Third ab, I worked a full count, but felt pressured into that last swing because the ump expanded the zone on me on a previous pitch and I didn’t want to go down looking. Last ab, the pitcher kept throwing me these funky curveballs inside and I eventually was able to inside out one to the right side for an infield single. Overall, felt super good in the box today and just felt like I was off time in the last 2 abs, nothing to be concerned about.

I went 2-3 today and drove in our only run in a 1-0 win! We faced a pitcher today that threw a lot of junk, but we saw him before in the first round of counties so I knew what to expect. First ab, I worked a 3-2 and took 2 curveballs for strikes because I knew he would eventually throw me a fastball for a strike. I felt all over the ball and hit a hard GB to second. Second ab, I saw a fastball first pitch and jumped on it for an infield single. Third ab, I worked a 2-1 count and hit a GB up the middle to drive in our only run! Went 0-2 today with a walk. Faced a plus arm today with good velo too. Felt like I was all over him but wasn’t extending through long enough to drive the ball better. First ab was a 3-1 count and I saw an outside fastball that I barreled to the first baseman. Second ab, was a 1-1 count and I barreled a fastball off of the mound. This was ruled a fielder’s choice even though the runner on first and I were both safe. The third ab, I drew the only walk the pitcher threw the whole game. Overall, felt good at the dish especially against a good arm! @Max Tracey @Jantzen Witte

Messed around with of these drills today. It took me a few tries to get the hang of the low and inside tee drill, but I eventually figured it out by making sure I really got extension all the way through the ball. This allowed me to hit it up the middle. I also noticed that I was able to stay through the ball better for the rest of my session. For the freeze finish drill, I noticed that the ball was coming off of my bat harder once since I was holding my finish. @Max Tracey @Jantzen Witte
