I’m very interested in all the guest teacher lessons. I don’t have a 9-to-5 job, so it’s difficult for me to commit to a fixed day because of my irregular schedule with rehearsals and concerts. But you definitely have my enthusiasm — I join whenever possible once the dates are published. And if attending live isn’t possible, the replay is always very interesting for me as well.
Corda Viva
For those who are interested: New project taking shape 🎻 Corda Viva is an expandable duo rooted in Brazilian choro, jazz and improvisation, built around dialogue between rhythm, melody and virtuosity. Inside the ensemble, three artistic directions are developing: – jazz language– Brazilian repertoire, with harmonic work through the chop– a Jazz–Bach–Jazz line that started years ago and is now growing further with the right musicians around it Our first concert takes place on March 1st, with violin, mandolin and double bass. Enjoy the page and the trailer. https://www.annvancoillie.com/corda-viva.html

More tunes : I love the Herbie Hancock tunes, such as Watermelon man, Watermelon Man, Speak Like a Child, Dolphine Dance.
CHACONA & LIBERTANGO
He hecho este arreglo fusionando a Bach y a Piazzola. Espero que ambos me perdonen. Ahora me gustaría limpiar la interpretación y mejorar las partes improvisadas...

@Eva Slongo Yeahhh, a nice crossover 🌞 and Bach keeps opening doors. That’s what I love so much about the Bach : centuries later, it still inspires new musical languages. We also played Libertango in my own arrangement, which was a lot of fun 🌞🎻 For those who want : you can hear it here 👉 https://youtu.be/Vgf0sS84pwY?si=51ds2zHEiG3K3Z1W This project came to life during Corona times : – New Year’s Eve 2021, live stream from Ghent, Room 13. – January 2022, live stream straight from.the opera : a full Piazzolla carte blanche program for me.and the prima donna dancer together with our ballet dancers 👉 [https://youtu.be/2Z7_dyWcNgo?si=SIXZRLy1kO7-TgvB Piazzolla program 2022] We did everything ourselves: the concept, the direction, including my arrangement of Libertango, and additional arrangements by my Argentinian friend Guillermo Anad. Different styles, same musical DNA — Bach → Piazzolla → today ✨🥰🎶🎶🎶🎻

@Octavio Pardos Wow, what a beautiful idea to create such a musical tribute in honor of the fallen firefighters. It’s a truly noble and meaningful project and with two dancers as well… I’ll be very curious to see the video afterwards. I also find the title “Tango of the Two Towers” very powerful and well chosen. Thank you so much for your kind and generous words, they are truly heart-warming 🌞🥰
