I own a business that provides staffing and support services to optometry offices across the USA and Canada, and we also operate two optometry practices ourselves. My educational background is in industrial engineering with some computer science coursework from about 20 years ago. ## What I'm Building & Learning I'm focused on developing internal applications for my company and our optometry clients. My goal is to leverage AI to improve our operations and build teams that can effectively utilize these technologies. Currently working on: - Building internal data systems for better decision-making - Developing client-facing applications - Enhancing our service offerings which include: - Phone services built on Amazon Connect with AI-driven metrics - AI Scribes for clinical documentation - Data integration systems for insights - AI phone agents (we currently use Bland.ai) - Traditional human virtual assistants ## Areas I Need Help With I'm looking to improve our system integrations, create better training protocols, and automate significant portions of our workflow. Specifically, I want to automate: - Middle management tasks (reporting, supervision, performance tracking) - Administrative processes (scheduling, documentation, compliance) - Workflow optimization between different teams and systems I'd love insights on effective ways to connect disparate systems and leverage our data more effectively to reduce manual intervention in these areas. ## What I Can Offer I bring extensive business experience, some operations research background, and a passion for problem-solving.
