I just bought myself a FoxAlien Masuter 3s for my small space. Looking forward to working out how to use it as I’ve never even seen a cnc, only on YouTube, let alone used one. Should be fun 😁👍
Aloha!
I live on the big island of HI. I grew up in IN and traveled through most of mainland for work. I have a woodworking and laser business. Recently expanded into CNC. I make lots of stuff. Cabinets, jewelry boxes, signs, cutting boards. I’d like to make smalls for my farmers markets and craft shows. Hoping cnc will give lots of new and faster production to increase sales. I have access to lots of amazing woods like Koa, monkeypod, mango, Milo, kamani , lychee etc as well as domestics. Been woodworking for over 35 years. Just recently believed I was good enough to sell my work. Really want to learn to add furniture templates to my machine. Such as Chippendale chairs, 3d panels for projects, joinery, and garden benches, etc. I’m part of another community on Skool here one of my friends recommended this to me as I’m expanding my business. Currently I have a few custom orders to complete. I just got an order for another box on Sunday with a Celtic cross to be cnc’d or laser engraved on top. Person gave me total artistic license. Here some pics of recent builds. Don’t have pics of it completed for some reason. Xcarve 1000x1000. Www.graywoodworksdesigns.com

Hello Don from the not so sunny UK those photos are amazing…… I’m brand new to cnc and wood working so I have a huge hill to climb but I’m going to give it a real good go, it’s going to be fun. I only have a tiny little shed and my craft room to work in but I’m hoping that great things will come out of these two tiny spaces. Happy New Year have a great week and I look forward to seeing what you make on your cnc. 😁👍
Total CnC Virgin here…..
Hello I’m a total cnc virgin, I finally bought my first hobby Cnc it’s a FoxAlien Masuter 3S, it arrived yesterday and I’m itching to set her up but I have family coming to visit over Christmas so I have to wait until NewYear before I can get going. I must say I’m a bit, well a lot actually, daunted as I know absolutely zero except for the YouTube videos I’ve watched, I have no clue about what bit to use for what process or anything. Is there any suggestions where I should start ? I was recommended a set of Gemnitsu 1/8th bits are they of real use? I hope so… As for me I live in the UK, I have 2 dogs and 4 budgies and my new baby is called FoxAlien 🤣🤣🤣 I look forward to learning from you all, please be patient with me. Have a lovely day and thanks for reading my little intro 🌻🌻🌻

@Jason Seely I’m looking forward to getting my space set up in the next few weeks. It will take some doing as it’s a small space and things need to be moved round a bit to accommodate it. Can I ask which software you use? I’ve seen that vcarve is another £350 ish on top of the machine, I forgot about that…. But I’ll have to find the money from somewhere as I like what I’ve seen online and it looks pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it and what button does what. The one thing I’m worried about is speeds and depths and which bit does what and when, it looks complicated. If you have any tips for setting up or running the Fox for the first time I’d be grateful. Ok I’ll stop bothering you now, Happy New Year let’s make this year a smash hit with our new machines… 🥳🥳🥳

@Don Gray - Hello Don, pleased to meet you. I’m the same, I’ve bought a set of 40 bits from Gimitsu to start me off but I need some 1/4” ones too eventually. I have to be careful what I buy as the cost to get set up is piling up pretty quickly and I’ve not even bought the software yet. I’ll bite the bullet though because I really want to make this work and hopefully once good enough make some money at it too.

Hello I’m Angela and I live in the UK with my partner, 2 dogs and 4 budgies. I’m a total newbie to the cnc, mine arrived yesterday but I can’t put it together until after New Year because I have family arriving from abroad for Christmas. I’m feeling excited but quite daunted about learning to use the cnc. Anyway I’m hoping to learn from those of you that know what you’re doing. I’m really happy to have found this community 😁👍🌻🌻🌻

I’m a total beginner in CnC and I’m a bit overwhelmed, I’m hoping to learn a lot from people who know what they are doing.
