@Pamir Perdeci that was so much fun! Thanks for making my very first improv session both calming and fun! I decided beforehand that I would try improv if it came up. I expected to be much more nervous joining the call but your calm and kind slow walk of the process helped me relax. Then next thing I know, you did an example scene playing me. Then I got in on the next one!!! Felt so liberating. Thank you and I will be back again! I heard Allen Alda say he attributed his career success and whatever big award he had just won to improv. Said it is learning to listen to the person you’re talking to so close you can anticipate what was coming next or at least be able to continue (or take) the thought. The interviewer said that didn’t make sense, he was an actor reading lines and that improv wouldn’t help that. He argued that it does. Learning to read the person you are talking to so well you can finish their sentences or stories takes even a scripted conversation from mundane to magical.
