We all ended up here for a reason… 👀
Some people became notaries to make extra income Others wanted freedom, flexibility, or a fresh start And for some… it completely changed their life. So now we’re curious: 👉 What made YOU decide to become a notary? Was there a specific moment, person, or goal that pushed you into this industry?

At the end of 2019 I started working for law firm. They needed a notary. Now after working many years under attorneys I started my own business as a Mobile Notary and Certified Paralegal. My goal is to one day become a lawyer. I love being a notary and working in the legal world.
The signing was moved earlier… and nobody knew 👀
The notary completed the signing earlier than scheduled… and neither title nor the signing service even knew it had already happened Then title sent: • A new Closing Disclosure • A new ALTA We immediately called the notary to let her know the documents had changed… And her response was: “I already finished the signing and I can’t go back.” This is exactly why schedule changes should NEVER happen without notifying the signing service first Because things can change at any moment before signing. One unapproved time change turned into a bigger issue.

Wow 😮
Before your very first signing… 👀
What’s one thing you wish someone had told you beforehand? • Something you learned the hard way • Something that surprised you • Or something that would’ve saved you stress. Could be about: 📄 Documents 🖊️ The signing table 📞 Communication 🚗 Scanbacks / shipping 😬 Nervousness Let’s help the newer notaries in the community by sharing real experiences 👇

I wish someone had told me the right printer and mobile scanner I needed before my first signing would have saved a lot
My new website is live, and I want your honest feedback
Hey NBG family 👋 I wanted to share something with you before anyone else. After months of work, I just launched the new website for my signing service: www.theclosingsigningservice.com I'm sharing it because I know many of you are building your own notary businesses and I get how it feels to sit down and think "how do I want the world to see me?" If you visit it, I'd love to hear your thoughts. What you liked, what caught your eye, what you'd do differently. And if any of you are stuck on your own website or branding, drop a comment below and let's figure it out together.

I love it looks professional and easy to use. I also just updated my own website so this is great!

We had a signing where the title company requested a change in location We understand, that can be frustrating. But here’s what happened: ❌ The notary replied directly to the client ❌ The tone was not professional ❌ And we weren’t given the chance to step in and handle it The reality is: 👉 We were already working on a solution 👉 We would have adjusted compensation due to the change But the response was immediate, and it escalated the situation Important reminder: If something changes or doesn’t feel right, always go through the signing service first 👉 We’re the ones who communicate with title 👉 We’re here to support you 👉 And we help protect those relationships And just as important, how we communicate matters 👉 How would you have handled this situation? 👀

I would’ve responded to the proper person professionally and simply asked whether the compensation would be adjusted for the additional travel/location change. Advocating for yourself is important, but so is maintaining good communication and relationships in this industry.
