Happy Lunar New Year
How much do you know about the cycles of the moon and how they influence, well everything really?

Lunar New Year
Tomorrow is the Lunar New Year, and boy is it an intense one. The year of the horse represents momentum but add in the ‘fire’ and what you think you are heading for is blown out of the water. So tomorrow you’re gonna want all the positive energy you can and that means: don’t wash your hair, don’t clean and especially don’t sweep (and definitely not your front doorstep!). Instead, put something beautiful on your door to welcome the positive energy, share some good food with those you love and keep your thoughts positive. No planting today but you can dream of the garden you’d love to enjoy this year 🌑🔥🐎

It’s Week 8!
8 weeks in already, can you believe it. This week would be an ideal time to mulch your existing garden beds/borders. If you feel you need a bit of colour - primroses are perfect! Would you choose just one colour or mixed?

@Louise Colella mulching is like a multi-tool for your beds. It feeds, reduces weeds, acts as insulation and water retention. A 2-4 inch layer is a good top dressing this time of year.
🌈 Share Your Chromatic Garden Colour
Now that you’ve completed your Chromatic Garden Personality™ assessment, I’d love you to introduce yourself. Please comment below with: 1️⃣ Your dominant colour 2️⃣ One sentence about what resonated most 3️⃣ What you’d most like your garden to give you this year For example: “I’m Green. I realised I over-care for every bed and get overwhelmed. This year I want my garden to feel calm and shared, not exhausting.” There are no better or worse colours. Each one simply shows how your garden can best support you. Let’s begin by understanding who we are — so we can grow intentionally.

@Louise Colella I look forward to seeing how orange influences your garden this year 🧡

@Lucy Selin I love that and dandelions are some of the first foods for bees and us too! It’s all edible; flowers in salads or made in to fritters, leaves in a salad too and dandelion root tea is also a thing. I also make what I call Trauma butter with the flowers 😃 so you have a good first crop 😍
Yes, it’s still winter 🌨️
Anyone else have snow today? (15th Feb) I have to say it was a magical change to rain for me and went and stood outside! I love the silence that snow brings and it was a little reminder that it’s still actually winter ❄️

@Louise Colella I think snow makes the world feel magical just for a little while 😍
