Sorry to hear you're struggling with TJM. Hopefully they'll sort it out for you soon!! I'm going to spa on Friday so I'm so looking forward to I literally don't care about anything else. Nothing will ruin it for me 😂
🌿 Free Calm Tool for Hard Moments 🌿
https://popsugar.mykajabi.com/first-then-starter-kit If transitions are one of the toughest parts of your day (mornings, cleanup, homework, bedtime… all of it), I want to share a simple tool that helps right away. I’m giving you a FREE First–Then Board—one of my favorite calm supports for ADHD, autistic, and sensory-sensitive kids. ✨ A First–Then Board helps kids: - see what’s happening now - understand what comes next - move through tasks with less resistance and fewer reminders It’s especially helpful when emotions are high and words stop working. 👉 Grab the free First–Then Board here: 💬 If you download it, come back and tell us:Where do you plan to use it first—mornings, homework, chores, or transitions? Small visuals can make a big difference 💛Betsy

Hi! I'm Anete - Holistic Therapist, mum, ADHDer, Yogi, Avid Reader. I got 3 boys and all either suspected or diagnosed as neurodivergent. So while I know this is to help with kids I do wonder if this group will benefit me too as while I've had ADHD coaching and therapy there are things that have worked, things that haven't and every now and again I'll add something new to my routine to see if I can make living with ADHD smoother. :)
🌿 Quick Check-In: What’s Feeling Hardest Right Now?
Let’s start with something simple 💛 Which part of the day feels the most challenging right now? 👇 Comment with the number that fits best: 1️⃣ Mornings (getting out the door, routines, transitions) 2️⃣ Afternoons (after school energy, homework, regulation) 3️⃣ Evenings (dinner, bedtime, winding down) 4️⃣ Transitions (switching tasks, stopping activities) 5️⃣ Emotional regulation (big feelings, meltdowns, shutdowns) There’s no right or wrong answer — this just helps me share the most helpful calm tools and routines with you. You can answer with a number, a word, or an emoji 🧠🌿 And if today feels like “all of the above,” you’re not alone 💛

Afternoons - and it's around screen time and play time. We got some activities most days after school so while my boy has screen time (usually about 1 hour) there are days we just don't have enough time to go on screens straight after school (plus I wouldn't want him to develop this habit). I've been thinking about saying he gets screen time after any activities and/or play time with me and usually it's when I cook dinner too. Would any visuals help maybe to mark the days so he can see what he has on each day?
🧠🐿️ Our Little Squirrels (and Other Adorable Critters)
As a mom of a kid with ADHD—and a former special ed teacher—I lovingly refer to our kids as squirrels (or other adorable critters). You know the type: • limited attention span • forgetful (but sincere) • distracted by everything • loses shoes… constantly • and somehow still so incredibly cute These traits aren’t flaws—they’re part of how our kids experience the world. Fast brains. Curious minds. Big hearts. 💛 Here’s the question for you: What “critter” does your child remind you of—and what do you secretly love about it? Drop it in the comments 🐿️🦊🐝 Let’s normalize this with humor, compassion, and a whole lot of love. (And yes… if you’ve ever searched for missing shoes while laughing and crying at the same time—you belong here. Betsy

Well.. I've not thought of my kids that way but I defiantly see myself as a Labrador. I'm always excited about new shiny things 😂
