Bear With Us Productions Update.
Eight years ago, Richie Evans and I started a little company with a simple idea: to create a production platform for my writing—somewhere we could illustrate and design children’s books based on the stories I’d written. Very quickly, that tiny idea grew. We began helping other writers bring their children’s books to life, and before long, the whole thing snowballed. What started as a passion project became something much bigger. Bear With Us Productions is now a trusted global brand, helping writers become published children’s authors, earning award-winning recognition, and maintaining an excellent Trustpilot rating. We’ve built a team of more than 50 artists, designers, and project managers from all over the world. To say I’m proud is an understatement. But as many of you know, my health hasn’t been great this year, and the strain of running a company has been taking its toll. So today, Bear With Us Productions was sold to a wonderful businessperson involved in several children’s entertainment and educational companies. I’m confident the company is in very good hands. After eight years, I can finally put my feet up a bit and refocus on my own writing, my children’s books, and my personal author journey. In fact, I’ve got three school visits this week—and I’m absolutely bricking it. Pitching stories to a room full of ten-year-olds… they’re the toughest critics of all. Here’s to Bear With Us Productions and its new owner. A new chapter begins.

Hi, how can i select my book in the best seller category on Amazon Kdp?
3 likes • Oct 25
Hi @Eva Marie Jane Step-by-Step: Selecting or Updating Your Category 1. Log in to your KDP dashboard:Go to https://kdp.amazon.com. 2. Open your book details:Click your book’s title (either Kindle eBook or Paperback). 3. Scroll to “Categories.”When creating or editing your book, you’ll see a section called “Categories.” Click “Set categories” or “Edit categories.” 4. 5. Choose up to two categories that best fit your book. These are based on BISAC codes (industry standard), not necessarily the same as Amazon’s visible store categories.Don’t worry — Amazon maps BISAC codes to the right Kindle Store sections. 6. Save and republish.Once you click Save and Continue, then Publish, your category updates will go live (usually within 24 hours). 💡 To Get into a “Bestseller” Category Amazon’s visible “bestseller” lists often use hidden subcategories that aren’t selectable directly in KDP. To get listed in one of those: 1. Publish your book first. 2. Then contact KDP Support and request specific Amazon store categories. Go to: KDP Help → Contact Us → Amazon Store & Product Page → Update Amazon Categories. Provide your ASIN (for eBook) or ISBN (for paperback) and list the exact categories you want, for example: 3. Kindle Store > eBooks > Mystery, Thriller 4. Tips for Choosing the Right Category - Pick niche categories with fewer competing titles to improve your bestseller rank chances. - Make sure your book accurately fits the category — Amazon may remove it if it’s misplaced. - Use tools like Publisher Rocket or BookBolt to research low-competition categories. If you’d like to give Publisher Rocket a whirl and a shake, you can do so right here https://bwup--rocket.thrivecart.com/publisher-rocket/ It is a great tool, and you should find it a great help when marketing your book
