Writing tips thread
Let’s share each other’s writing habits. I write in the 2–3 minutes it takes the kettle to boil — notebook lives in the kitchen. What’s your equivalent?– Where are you?– How long do you write for?– What makes it actually happen?

Most of the time I start with a concept or idea, and then make a voice note speaking for as long as possible on that topic. Then I use a transcribing tool (Vibe) to turn it into text and save it as a note in organiser software (Obsidian). Not sponsored 😅 they're both free and open-source 👍 Then progressively trim the idea down to just the essential words, until nothing else can be taken away. I find that a lot easier than staring at a blank page! Probably also carries over from video production as I'm used to >90% of the footage never seeing the light of day 😂
