New app: $48,708 in 4 weeks. No ads
Hey guys, I apologise for being a little absent in the last 2-3 weeks. I want to share our latest app launch which generated $48,708 of revenue in one month (and still counting), using the Trending Keywords Method. I will record a proper case study video exclusively for this community, but I wanted to share the results with you already now. Here is the story: - In mid-August we recorded a podcast with @M O where we talked about the Tea Dating Advice app which has gone viral and was #1 on the App Store for several weeks. I was blown away. - With @Evrim Demir we noticed an opportunity in the market for a competing app and we build the fastest MVP that we have ever done. It took us just 6 hours to make the app and submit to Apple for review. When I say "us" I mean mostly Evrim 😅 I didn't even do the design as I usually do, we used Cursor to help us out. I spent most of my time on making the App Store screenshots lol. - We submitted the app on the 25th of August and thanks to the Trending Keywords Method (see our Classroom section) we immediately started to make about $1k - $1.5k / day. - This was a great start for an app with no ads or no marketing. Then a few weeks later, our biggest competitor was taken down by Apple and we suddenly started to make $6k / day in profit. Awesome. - This lasted for a few days, then the competition app returned to the App Store and now we're back to make about $1k - $1.5k / day. - I don't know how long this trend will continue, but even if we stay like this without further growth, the app will continue making at least $30k / month. We are two co-founders so that's $15k / month per person from 6 hours of work 🚀 on one product. This doesn't include the rest of our portfolio. - App asset valuation is about 3 - 4x annual EBITDA. It could be argued that this app would be valued at around $1M right now. That's $1M from 6h of work (and 10 years of experience 😅) - Our MVP was functional but definitely didn't include full feature scope or award-winning design. This really showed me that demand & distribution is so much more important than features and design. If you catch a big wave, all you need is a simple MVP that has one core feature and is "good enough". Not perfect.

Monday Motivation: "There is always a way"
Happy Monday ladies and gents. Use this post as your commitment to your business. What are you going to accomplish this week: Guidelines for your goal: 1. Make it specific. (Ex: "I will launch XYZ app by Friday", instead of "I will improve my apps") 2. Make it within your control. (Ex: "I will launch a new A/B paywall test", instead of "I will grow my revenue 20%) 3. Make it ambitions. It should feel like a stretch, but not impossible. If you have posted your goals last week, review those goals. If you finished them: great, it's time to celebrate. If you didn't finish: why not? @M O @Chris Ching @Seth Starr @Ryo M @Martin Wojtaszek @Awais Naseer @Cristian Buleandra @Andrii Zaiets @Allen Wipf @Nabil Chelh @Sagar Mutha @Vladimír Ščešňák @Henrique Velloso @Francis Clarke
