Andrey picked 3 books before my brain loaded 🤣
I really need help finding what books are my competitors. I watched a few videos already, but I guess I'm just slow 😶‍🌫️. Andrey showed Amazon screen with books in a niche (ex: inner child healing) he quickly scrolled the page and chose 3 competitive books. He chose them lightning fast, and I didn't fully understand his thought process 😃 I understand about point of attacks, but he spent 5 seconds analyzing the whole page like he was the ai himself 🤣👍🏻I barely had time to see all the books on the page, and he already chose 3. lol. I feel like it will take me half an hour+ looking at each book, carefully comparing BSR, reviews, book image.... He did it so fast that I literally had to slow down the playback speed to try and figure out what he saw that made him choose those specific 3 books.😆 I'm afraid I'm not built for this 🤣 Just me or is everyone on his level now? haha

No worries haha, I normally check out the BSR as the main number plus how many reviews the books have and how good the cover looks (but the BSR is by far the most important thing) With a tool like H10 you see the BSR of all books in the search; this is why I only need to check this number to get a feeling for which books are my competitors.

✅ Since you guys liked the last Skool Exclusive video with Roman, I figured I’d record a new one. The topic is a concept I’ve been mulling over for weeks. And one I’ve already teased a bit in earlier videos. It’s primarily about one thing: 👉🏼 How to combine branding and hype. The two main approaches of successful publishers can be broken down into these two: 1. Brand building, thinking long-term 2. Capitalizing on hype, making a lot of money in the short term Especially over the past two years, hype has become very lucrative. People like me, who do a lot of branding, have therefore been keeping an eye on hype publishers for quite some time. The biggest problem so far was that hype and branding weren’t really compatible. At least, that’s what we all thought. 😅 But last year in Q4, I combined the two... and it was so successful that I’ve spent the last six months racking my brain trying to figure out what the systematic strategy behind it really is. That’s what this video is about. Or rather, the script I’m skimming through in this video. The long-term goal is to create a longer video for YouTube, in which I’ll explain this topic in even greater detail. Building an ARC Reader List.
Hi everyone, I am fairly new here and plan on making valuable contributions. Today I have a question. I believe I recently read something here about "building an ARC reader list." I have never done this, and I'm sure it is an excellent idea prior to launching. Is there any training, advice, or threads here that I can be pointed to that would share or teach the best way to do this today, in 2026? Thanks.

There are multiple ways to build a test reader list (ARC list), I prefer to build them organically step by step, meaning after every book you publish the book gets bigger, but if you’re working on your very first book to create one in advance is also possible. So one way is to run Facebook ads to a lead magnet related to your book’s topic or even a light version or a pre-version of your book. Then on the success page you ask them if they want to get a free copy of your book and become a test reader/ARC reader. And you also follow up via email and ask again. Only like 1 out of 100 will do that, but it works slowly and is a possible start to building an ARC list even before you get the first book out. Other ways, explained quickly: - same as above but instead of facebook ads you place the lead magnet as a bonus inside your book to collect test readers for future books - Running facebook ads for test readers directly to your Facebook messenger and explaining the process of being a teat reader to them. There are two common ways to be a teat reader: - 1) They buy the book on Amazon and you reimburse them, so they got the book for free - 2) Or you order the book for them to their address. Some people also give away the PDF but I have no good experiences with that. The paperback always converts way better for me.
Quality over Quantity
I'm aiming to publish one book per month with PublishFlow. My first book is completed and will be published this month. I have been building an ARC list with this first book. For the second book I am aiming to publish this one month after the first. Both books are over 250 pages. My dilemma is contacting the arc readers soon after the first book. For a human to write two books of this length in two months is an achievement! And one every month after that. Superhuman! The ARC readers will be suspicious for sure. That said I think one book a month is workable. However producing 2, 3, 4 or 5 high content books a month. This is not humanly possible. Andrey has always emphasised that quality and the benefits to reader are paramount. Now, lets factor in Amazon KDP, when we publish we have to declare the tools we use. Amazon KDP are just getting to know PublishFlow and will be watching its progress. My fear is that the mass production of high content ai books by some publisher will damage PublishFlow and its members. My views may be controversial but I believe that in time there will be other tools like PublishFlow where anything goes. PublishFlow is in the position to be the standard bearer and should be setting the bar high and keeping it there. For me, I think one, possible 2 high content books a month is more than enough for any publisher. You put the work into these books you will get the return and this platform will not be flagged by Amazon KDP. If I am missing something, I'm sure someone will let me know, I am open to be corrected.

@Nigel Howard No, you can only have 3 author pages (actually up to 7 if you ask for more), but pen names you can have endless. If the brand name has an author page, all your books can share this page, while the athors don’t need an athor page and are just mentioned as additional authors for your book and on your product page

@Tamilarasan S You can display the author on the front cover and the brand name on the back/spine. Depending on the branding and importance you want to give the brand, both can actually be on the front cover in some cases. In the metadata the author name can be the main author and the brand name is a secondary author (not sure what the correct term is) In the interior pages I have an imprint at the end of the book with the author name and the brand name and my company name plus address and contact details.
