I prefer to get the Ecudets chair early (saves all those hairpins) head to La Thuile for coffee then do lunch in the iconic Bar San Bernando right opposite the hospice. Lovely people n great food! Then a few runs around the pass before heading down for the late Ecudets chair (don’t miss the turn off above La Ros village) back down to the car park just a few kms from BSM or Villaroger (for us on the dark side!)

My win - free central London parking thanks to our recently acquired blue badge (big C 4 my wife) and we had a great movie weekend at home - watched Temple Grandin on Prime - incredibly moving film esp as Mrs J spent her working life in main stream schools support students with autism.. 🥰

Hi all 🙋 Name Andrew here 🌍 Tottenham, Villaroger, Sestriere and Dacice (Czech Rep) depending what month we are talking about! ⛷ Your Skiing Stories - started skiing when my school German exchange sent me in February to Lindenberg and host family were ski mad (Oberstdorf) then spent my European Studies overseas year in Ugine Tech School where all the boarding kids were from ski resorts, so skied every weekend in all the big Tarentaise resorts for free (as parents all worked there) Then ski rep for Ski Total, before Martin and Simon sold it :-( in Chatel 1986-1989 ESI instructor Chatel and then ESF instructor La Clusaz and Les Arcs (love Ski Paradis, not a fan of moonscape Tignes and VDI) and more recently (part time) Ski Resorts Manager for brill schools operator https://www.activ4.com/meet-the-team/ - oh and I have spent 35 years in management in international development and at Hostelling International (international office of YHA) 🚀 Your skiing goals - spend more time in the Alps, help more kids fall in love with the sport and try somehow to get a school trip to the Alps using the train rather than planes or coaches. So much more fun, better for the environment and (shhh keep it secret) a first in the sector of schools travel! I think that's enough.... Who can spot where in Ski Paradis I am?!!
