Haha nice one, I'd been studying Bowie that weekend and heard a glimpse of "Subterraneans" on a documentary and it planted a seed I think. Snare wise there was a beat behind the song originally, after removing, there was only one snare left with a 1/4 delay, it gave it a better feel and really works conceptually/ metaphorically as the sound of the "mask breaking". Cool question dude 🤍
