Classroom forecast... when?!!! 🙏
Hey @David Alves, when can we possibly expect to have any classroom available? Are you working on it, is it still in the brainstorming phase, or is it just a wish at this moment? ☺️ Just curious and expectant ❤️

Following up with @David Alves's advice (or trick 😜) I'm a reporting developer in a vulnerability management team. Now trying to understand if Scrum Mastering is my jam or not.

Welcome to the skool <3
Be careful when following roadmaps...
A lot of people have asked me to create a roadmap on how to start/boost/improve your cybersecurity career. The problem is, there is no "one size fits all" roadmap... in fact, I'd argue that most roadmaps out there are made with ChatGPT in 10 minutes with prompts like "give me a step by step guide on how to go from zero-to-hero in cybersecurity". With that, you'll probably get some insights on what courses, certifications, degrees are available, and filter the most relevant for your own needs. But at the end of the day, a LOT of people end up in a situation where they follow exactly what they read from these roadmaps, and find themselves applying for hundreds of jobs, and getting zero feedback. This is a very interesting debate, and I have my own thoughts on this... But i would love to hear your opinion first! Jump in on the conversation and let me know what you think of this :)

Roadmaps are just plans that can be adjusted to your own goal (if you have one 😁). If you do not know where to start or where to go they are a really good start of the thought process imo. But... as you said, not to be followed 100%! I do believe it depends on your willing to think about every step of the roadmap and identify the pros and cons of each step. Then evaluate the weight of the step and try to understand if you can adapt the map and create your own. E.g. if you find interesting the work of malware analysis why should you have to start in a SOC (as per some roadmaps)? why not just ask someone that works there and ask that person what is a day in their work life? Although the experience in a SOC would be relevant it should not be mandatory and that's part of your personal interest to think if you are able to bend those rules of thinking that you should strictly follow a roadmap. Mentorship is nice if it is flexible and sympathetic of the lost ones I would say. If I am being mentored by a Pentester and at the middle of a report I find myself super interested in Governance rules, maybe that mentor is not the best one to achieve that new goal. And, possibly, if I say that to my mentor, maybe the mentor will think it was all just loss time. Just an example :)
