Prompting Best Practices: Use AI for prompting
One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is trying to write image prompts from scratch. You're sitting there trying to describe exactly what you wantβ¦ and the result comes out looking nothing like what you had in mind. Here's what I do instead β and this is a game changer: Use AI to write the prompt FOR you. Here's how: 1. Find a reference image of what you're going for. This could be a screenshot, a photo, an art style you like β anything that represents the vibe or look you want. 2. Upload that reference image to AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini β whatever you use) and ask it something like: "Based on this image, write me a detailed prompt I can use to generate something similar in [your AI tool]." 3. Take that prompt, paste it into your image generator, and watch how much closer the result is to what you actually wanted. Why does this work so well? Because AI understands images better than it understands your words. When you try to describe something from your head, there's a gap between what you're imagining and what AI interprets. But when you give AI a visual reference, that gap basically disappears. It can see exactly what you're referring to β the lighting, the style, the composition, the mood β and translate all of that into a detailed prompt way better than most of us could write on our own. Think of it like this: instead of trying to explain a song by describing it, you just play the song. Same energy. This one tip alone will save you hours of trial and error. Start using reference images and let AI do the heavy lifting on your prompts. πͺ β LMG
