### What is Your True Currency in an Uncertain World?
Hi everyone, I came across a video that poses a provocative question: In a major systemic collapse, where our current financial and food systems fail, what becomes the real currency for survival? The video argues it's not money, but tangible goods and practical skills—things like food, medicine, fuel, and the knowledge to heal, build, and grow. This got me thinking on a deeper level, moving beyond "prepping" to resilience and community. I'd love to hear your perspective. Let's exchange not from fear, but from wisdom: 1. The "What": If you had to choose, what ONE practical skill (e.g., fermenting, herbal first aid, seed saving, small engine repair) do you believe would be your most valuable asset, and why? 2. The "Who": Beyond goods and skills, what human qualities (e.g., trust, cooperation, storytelling, conflict resolution) would become the true "currency" of a new community? 3. The "Now": How can we start building that resilience today? Is it by learning to grow a kitchen herb garden, forming a local skill-share group, or simply strengthening bonds with our neighbors? This isn't about doomsday; it's about rediscovering the foundational elements of a sustainable life. Our collective knowledge is the most valuable resource we have. Watch the video here if you're curious: [The One Currency That Will Decide Who Survives After Collapse] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nP3N78WluM What are your thoughts? What is your "true currency"?

What a thoughtful and powerful invitation. Thank you for sharing it. I’d be glad to offer my perspective on your three questions: The "What": One Practical Skill If I had to choose one practical skill, it would be seed saving, because it embodies both survival and continuity. Saving seeds doesn’t just feed you today, it lays the foundation for nourishment in the future. It naturally invites deeper learning about plant cycles, local ecosystems, and soil health, all of which are essential for long-term resilience and reconnection with the land. The "Who": Human Qualities as Currency Trust would become the most vital currency, because without it, no other skill or resource can be exchanged meaningfully. Closely connected are cooperation and conflict resolution, the ability to navigate tension, adapt roles, and remain united in uncertainty. Communities that can communicate openly, share responsibility, and resolve disagreements without fracturing will be the ones that endure and evolve. The "Now": Building Resilience Today Start small and close to home. Form a local group where people can share skills, tools, or simply knowledge. Commit to learning one hands-on, seasonal skill, whether it's baking bread, composting, fermenting, or basic repairs. And perhaps most importantly: reach out to your neighbors. Offer a helping hand, exchange a harvest, or share a meal.

@Emil Moldovan Thank you so much for this deeply affirming and thoughtful response. It means a lot to see these ideas received with such clarity and care. I truly believe that shifting from fear-based prepping to connection-based resilience is the invitation of our time. It’s about learning to live differently before we’re forced to, not out of panic, but out of purpose. I’m grateful to be part of a dialogue where these ideas can evolve and take root.
Some interesting numbers!

RUC number
Who knows a proper accountant to open the RUC number after getting the Cedula?

Hey Bjorn, I know some "contadoras", but they only speak Spanish. Let me know if that works for you — I can send you their contacts.
