Weekend check-in 🍀
Honest one: I planned to put new content up this week and it didn't happen. My head was too full. That happens here too, also when you're the one running the place. So no big post from me today. Just the weekend question. Where are you at right now? Drop a number from 1 to 10, and if you feel like it, one word for what's sitting on top. I'll start: 5. Word is "backlog".

@Ann Boen I would love to focus on it less as it's taken over this week, sadly

@Ann Boen Thank you Ann! Slowly getting there with some rest :)
How is your day going… in a GIF? 🤍
No need to explain the whole story. Just drop a GIF that matches your current energy today. Are we thriving? Barely functioning? Mentally buffering? Quietly overthinking? Romantically staring out of a window like life is a movie? Let the GIF speak for you. I’ll go first 👇

@Ann Boen England losing the football! Haha

@Ann Boen I saw my Belgian friend walking home from the game - she was also hoping for England after Belgium were knocked out! Yes, it feels like we often get close but can never quite get to that top level, so we are always ready for the disappointment. But it's quite a contrast, there was a carnival atmosphere when we scored and then it all became very quiet at the end!
I just wanted to tell you... 💛
If this week felt heavier than you expected, that doesn't mean you failed. Sometimes surviving the week is the win. You don't have to earn your rest by finishing every task, answering every message, or having everything figured out. This weekend, let yourself slow down where you can. - Drink the coffee while it's still hot. - Take the walk. - Cancel the plan if you need to. - Laugh at something stupid. - Let your nervous system catch up with you. Your worth was never measured by how productive you were this week. I'm really glad you're here. Have a gentle weekend. 🤍

Hyper focussing but at the same time all over the place... hyper focussed in a manic, scatterbrain kinda way. Make sense?!

@Ann Boen Honestly it's productive. I've been going back through my notifs here which has taken me off into different directions, but I feel clearer on my next steps and I'm connecting with lovely people in my community!
Whatever the weather
Some of you are sweating through a heatwave right now. Belgium's in one too, 32 degrees before noon, so I'm feeling it while I write this. Others are bundled up heading into winter. Either way, your body is dealing with something, and a brain that's already full feels every bit of it. Weather, season, whatever it is outside, it all lands on top of the load you're already carrying. The simplest task starts to feel like too much. Nothing's wrong with you. The glass just got fuller. So today's check-in: what's the weather doing where you are, and how's your head handling it? One word each is enough.

It's boiling here in London, although a little less than yesterday. However I'm very privileged to have AC. I couldn't survive without it, my body shuts down. I'm still trying to take it easy and not push myself - brain is definitely slow!
