I came across this on LinkedIn and found it incredibly inspiring. The heading is also word for word from LinkedIn. Coming from a corporate background, I often feel like the little one in the room. Every time I visit the team in Centurion, I take a step back, listen, learn, and try to absorb as much as I can. Slowly but surely, I'm stepping over the line from just learning to actually practising and applying. One thought from the post really stood out for me: "The confidence that comes from figuring something out… and the learning that only comes through experience." It's uncomfortable. It takes longer. But that's how we grow. I'm grateful that the team in Centurion and this community don't simply do things for us, they guide, encourage, and give us the space to learn by doing. That is a gift. As frustrating as it can be at times, I know that every lesson, every mistake, and every small win is building confidence and capability. Growth takes time. The tortoise in me is learning to enjoy the journey. 🐢😊

So... it is now nearly 2 month. Creating Post, Reels with Canva, ChatGPT etc. and..... Not even on click, like or share in Facebook or Instagram.🥹

So I counted my pennies and decided to boost a post in the run-up to the 3-day B2C event coming up this week. After 5 days more than 18 000 views - AND ONLY ONE COMMENT. Boy! Did I moan! And then realised - bite the bullet and find out why. Saw the average watch time was 8 sec - and what did that tell me: they stopped halfway through slide 2 of the 3-slide reel - and the actual invite was on slide 3. Then I fed it to Chat GPT and learnt further lessons... AND NOW I HOPE NEXT TIME, I WILL DO THIS THING RIGHT. But there was also positive takeaways!!!!
