Something I'm proud of
Hi everyone. Happy Friday! I hardly ever take the time to remind myself of all that has been accomplished during the week...so I'm taking a moment now. I took care of my mom for 42 hours this week. I built a nurture sequence and a landing page for an in-person somatic series I'm promoting. I saw 18 clients. I nurtured the seeds and perennials in my garden. I took care of my cat and dog. I ate well. I had some friend time. I went roller skating. I got enough sleep.... Yay. So many things have been done and I still have energy for today. What has your week looked like? Is there something you are proud of yourself for recently?

@Alistair Hawkes sorry for the late reply, I didn’t know the answer to the Sunday school Lesson question at that point! 😂 we talked about temples, ancient and modern and their purpose.

@Alistair Hawkes well it was good to note that the animal sacrifices used long ago were no longer in practice! And that temples are for bringing you closer to your God and feeling peace. Peace isn’t something felt much in this bust fast paced world.
What's cooking?
What are you cooking up, promoting, excited about? What are you standing for now days? Are you building business? Learning new skills? Honing skills? Are you offering something like supervision or a retreat or a group? Let us know what's cooking for you.

Well as usual I’m multi tasking. The client work is simmering in the back with the occasional stir, I’m learning a new skill EMDR and it’s currently being taste tested, I’m exploring a new type of cooking by building online courses and that’s what brings me to skool. I do offer supervision but I don’t enjoy it as much as client work, it’s like when someone recommends something because they think it’s great and you’ll also love it… I want to create a therapy space in Skool but still formulating the recipe!

@Alistair Hawkes is be happy to chat program creation! Be interesting to see both our angles and passions 💙 EMDR was full on and I’m literally learning as I go. I guess it’s like learning to swim by being thrown in at the deep end, overwhelming to start with but then you get the hang of it? That’s what I’m hoping anyway 😂
1 Win & 1 Goal
Hey everyone...how was your weekend? What is one win for the weekend? What is one goal you have for the week? These things are important to tabulate, imo, if only to keep us going when the going gets weird.

@Christopher Whitehead-Baines sorry I meant private practice
Emotional Battery
A metaphor that resonates with many clients is the idea of emotional capacity functioning like a battery. Every responsibility, stressor, and emotional demand draws from that battery. When it becomes depleted, tasks that once felt manageable suddenly feel overwhelming. Reframing exhaustion as capacity depletion rather than laziness can shift clients from self-criticism toward self-compassion. Curious how other clinicians explain emotional capacity to clients. ℹ️ Educational purposes only. Not a substitute for therapy or professional mental health care.
