This may happen to your carriers as well
Hello, colleagues! How are you all doing? Last Friday i got a Load TX to FL, berries, well paid, good PU and delivery times. My driver arrives on time at the shipper, it was 1pm, and they told him the load was not ready yet, they were still waiting for some of the products that they didn’t have at that moment. Two hours later, he dos back to the office, only to confirm that the product hadn’t been received yet by the shipper and also, to learn that he needed an appointment because that facility was not FCFS as we were told by the broker. Obviusly he didn’t have any, so they told him he had to wait until 10 pm, it was the closest time they had available for them to load the trailer. 10pm. The load want ready yet and te hay had no clue about when it was going to be ready to go. Long story short, he was loaded today, one hour ago😩 it was the weekend, the driver wanted to be in Florida with his family, but no. He had to wait from Friday to Monday to get his trailer loaded, This i s the kind of situation that, even when it doesn’t happen often (in my experience), ir may happen from time to time. You need to be mentally prepared to face it sincero is extremely frustrating, you gve hunde esa of calls and send thousand of emails to the broker for them to contacto the shipper, but it is completed worthless since it was a weekend and they really don’t have the power to sobe this kind of situations, not even the shipper, since they hadnt received the berries yet. We didn’t cancel it since it was Friday afternoon and get a new load at that time was going to be impossible, and he was going to be there waiting the while weekend anyways ( for no money) Today, we were going to ask the broker to remove us from the load, but happily, they received the missing products and loaded the trailer. My driver is now on his way to Florida.
