A fairy garden for my favorite tree
Last fall in Carey's previous group, we connected with nature/plant spirits. I connected with the Catawba tree in my front yard. He shared his name and had a few comments and requests. One one of the requests was to have my kids build a fairy garden at the bottom of his trunk. Last weekend, my daughter and I stopped at a local garden store and got a door and path and my husband found a fairy garden kit for each kid, too. Today, we hung the door, cleared a little space, added sand and mulch and the little path. The kids build their fairy garden boxes. My daughter put hers next to the door and path. My son put his under the silver maple in the middle of our yard. It was a fun afternoon and my daughter is especially excited to see if any fairies come to live on our tree.

Medium Ethics
I just listened to Episode 3 of the Liminal Lounge podcast. One of the things that I am constantly asked by others is, do I approach people in the public to say I have a message for someone? I do not because I do not know how open people are and I feel like it will drain my energy. But in the podcast, they made a good point about the sitters point of view or ethics. They may not believe in an after life and if you were to approach someone, it could quickly cross a line.

Yes. I loved the story from Lorenda (I think) about giving the advice from spirit but not actually mentioning it was the young woman's mom or grandmother there in spirit supplying that advice.
A beautiful hello
I was talking to my kids about family who served in the military (it was military appreciation/military child week at school). We talked about their grandpa (my father-in-law) who was in the Navy and their great-grandpa (my grandpa) who was in the Army's 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. After getting the kids on the bus, I went for my morning walk. I found this beautifully perfect feather on the way. I believe it was both grandfathers saying hello and thanking me for talking about their service. What signs did you all see form spirit this week?

After some research, I believe it's a hawk feather? But someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'm in Ohio if that helps.

Meditation
Hi Has anyone got any tips or practises to quiet my mind when I’m meditating?

ADHD here as well. When I first learned to meditate (from a life long Buddhist), the advice was to acknowledge the thought and then release it. However, I find now that I've had to recognize what does and doesn't work for me. Sometimes, I can't just sit completely still with my eyes closed. I may meditate while walking or crocheting or washing dishes. The physical movement helps to occupy a piece of my brain so that I can actually meditate. I also recommend taking it slow. Start with just 3 minutes or 5 minutes and work you way up to something longer.
