Ham Bean Soup
Good morning all! Wanted to share a lil budget friendly set it and forget it crock pot setup I did today! Its a favorite of my family's and I think some of you will appreciate the simplicity and heaviness of the meal as well. Ham Bean Soup You will need a 6 quart crock pot. Ingredients 1 bag of dried 15 Bean soup with ham flavor packet 1/2 bag dried northern beans 1 can cream of celery soup 1 stick of butter 1/2 to a pound of precooked ham, diced depending how "hammy" you want it to be Enough water to cover everything and then a little more. The beans will absorb and pretty much double in size providing a several-night meal for a family of 6!! Youre gonna rinse your dry beans and search them for little rocks. Sometimes they get past the production line. You dont want broken teeth! Pop them in the bottom of a clean crock pot. Make sure its off until you put everything in there and secure the lid. Chop up your ham however big or small of bite sizes you want and plop it in there. Add the ham seasoning from the 15 Bean soup bag. Sometimes they dont come with them, and thats ok. You have ham already I just appreciate the bullion taste. Add your cold stick of butter and your cream of celery soup on top of that and then fill it up with water like I said Cook on high for 8 hours, check on it throughout the day and add more water as rhe beans absorb so you dont get like. A clumpy mess. Thats it! Enjoy it with anything youd like, I tend to make corn muffins with ours. I also sprinkle a little dry parsley once its bowled to make it look like I really did something special.
So, me? About that...
Hi. Im Amber. Im 37, a follower and believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a mother of 3 beautiful children that I proudly homeschool, and a butler to 5 pets that include two little dogs( a 2 year old shih tzu I found on craigslist, and a 4-8 week old pug puppy I also found on craigslist which Im unsure of her actual age..heh, two overweight cats I got off of the book of faces for free, and a 5 year old Syrian teddy bear hamster I saved from a dilapidated pet store. I stay at home unless I go somewhere, its always with my husband and children. I dont drive myself, I have extremely severe POTS syndrome, and Im just kind of winging this life stuff. I love starting crafts and never finishing them, hot coffee on rainy mornings, lofi late at night, my kindle, and I dont paint my nails. In the free time I lie to myself about, I have a little tiktok hobby. I only have a little over 4k followers, and Im pretty sure most of them are bots, but if you wanna get extra nosey, my handle up there is my gamertag, sugarcrust8786. I play fortnite, I bible journal, I bake cakes, spend way too much on birthdays and Im extremely loved and taken care of. Did you know that a lot of people think that,s a bad thing? I dont. My husband works a modest job, we stretch the money he pulls in to make the little frayed life we live. So hey. Hi. Im NOT a problem, its me. Glad to meet you, glad to be here.
The Power of Simple Words
The other morning I was getting ready, hair everywhere, coffee in hand, and I just said to my boyfriend, “I love flowers. They’re just so beautiful.” Totally random. That night, I got home from work and there they were. A vase of white roses with a handwritten note about how much he loves me. It made me realize sometimes people just need to hear what makes you happy. Say it out loud. You never know who’s listening. 🥰 What’s something small that makes you feel loved lately?

I have POTS, and my husband has little "pots kits" everywhere. In his car, in every room of the house - things like liquid IVs, drip drops, instant cold packs, bottles waters, salt packets and electrolyte pills, head pillows, headache masks, the works. It makes me feel so loved and provided for.
Welcome Amber!
Hiii!!! 💛 So excited to welcome our newest member @Amber Fearing, a homeschooling mom of three! I’m always so amazed by homeschooling moms. It’s something I’d love to do one day but I sometimes worry I wouldn’t have enough resources for my kids! @Amber Fearing I want you to meet @Laurel Sauls who has six children (yes six!) and has homeschooled them too! Laurel, you might have some great tips and tricks for supporting kids through homeschool. Please share!! I’m already taking notes for my future self!
