Give ground to take ground
I’ve been very careless with my approach to the my music, business wise… but the effort I lacked in marketing & promotion etc. I’ve put into my craft. I’ve been solely focused on being an artist and now I’m in a position to be my own music executive… this next move that I plan on making I expect to be the feather that broke the camels back.. and if it isn’t just serves as more fuel and material! Hope everyone has a great day.

@Jean Paul I have a collab ep I’ve been working on with me as the producer and a couple of features on the project. Then I’ma put together a solo ep after that. The solo project is where I really wanna pull off a subtle rebrand!
It's Business
As an artist (speaking just for me) I love making music. I love writing rhymes. I love finding a beat that just hits and sits with me. I'm a consumer as much as I am a provider...then I'm bludgeoned by the non evasive fact that to do the thing I love and love doing it..I have to understand the business. I'm serious when I ask this. What 5 hour videos do I have to watch to understand the music business?? What books do I need to buy. Understand I'm not asking for success. I'm not asking for shortcuts(but if you have proven shortcuts I'm not turning them away) I am asking for information The greats had managers and publicists and teams and everything you could have and still told us they had the worse deals. So I need information if anyone has it or is willing to share

As an artist who’s been there mentally and still there financially… speaking from hindsight; create your sound, that’s undoubtedly you and polish as much as possible… then look to monetize it. Be it through streams, performances, sync licenses or even selling features etc. marketing and promotion is key! (Something I’ve neglected on my path) So just as your sound is important to your brand so is your image… pair both of those together and sell them both.
What's Up Everyone
I'm Sean but I go by Sky, Sky is my initials so it feels more like my real name since it's literally my whole name abbreviated. I've been creating and around music since my age was in the single digits, I am now 19 and striving to be all I can be. I like making fun music and I value being true to myself in my creations. I'm looking forward to connecting with you and growing together. Feel free to message me !

How To Get Your First 10,000 Fans In 2023
1. Have a release strategy - Consistency is king. If you want to build a loyal fanbase you need to find a way to always be in front of them, capturing their attention. 2. Treat your first 5,000 - 10,000 listeners as your friends. - Respond to their comments. Engage with them. Make them feel like they are early adopters of something big and yet to be discovered. To expand your fanbase you will need a strong foundation. If your foundation is shabby how do you expect your house to look like? 3. Understand that every social media is created for different purposes. - Tik Tok is best for getting new fans - Instagram is best for showcasing your brand - Youtube is best to build and nurture your relationship with fans etc. 4. Follow me on Brandman Network cause I have more tips for your music career and I'm posting regularly 😎

I really had to hear this
What got you into music?
I’m curious, what got you all into this business? Edit: I didn't expect so many of you guys to drop your stories below, thanks. It's crazy how music can bring together so many people all over the world fr. Well guess its time I add my piece... I got into music at like 11-12 years old, my mom was (and still is) straight old school 90s early 2000s hip hop so that's what I came up around, and It started off same as a couple of you guys, just freestyling in school, that led to the cafeteria battles and you know how that goes, after the Ws I was locked in, now we here a decade later and the skys the limit
