Hi Julie, I'm a newbie here, just joined yesterday. I'm going through the boards becoming familiar with everyone and came across your question. I have chronic pain. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia back in 2013 but have suffered from flare-ups of pain episodes and fatigue since my early twenties, back in the early 2000's. I became an integrative health consultant/aromatherapist/herbalist as I was trying to heal myself. I still have bits of pain that flash here and there throughout my days but have been able to keep my flare-ups at bay for many years now. If you would like any advice on what I have found helpful, everyone is different of course, just let me know. I'd be happy to share : )
Hi K, I also have PTSD and Graves disease. I have thought for years my Graves disease was brought on by my PTSD or has something to do with it so I find it interesting that you have the same. Happy to meet you and I'm looking forward to supporting each other. Did you start your journey yet? I would love to know if you have run into any issues and how it is going for you. Has the ashwaganda and other adaptogens helped the Grave's? As an herbalist I've been taught it could go either way. I'm hopeful it will help mine stay in balance and not bring on any issues. I'd love to hear how it's going for you.
Hello Everyone, I just began this journey, waiting on the medicine to arrive, so I'm in the preparation phase. What brings me here is a desire to move past my mental and physical struggles with PTSD, Graves disease, and fibromyalgia. Mainly I'm hoping this will be an excellent addition to the weekly therapy I am already receiving. I just received my BSc in Integrative Health Sciences with aromatherapy and herbalism specializations and have been on this journey of healing for as long as I can remember. I'm ready to be whole again. To get back to who I was meant to be. To play music and dance and sing : ) I look forward to this journey with all of you.
Had some very weird dreams last night. They had been getting better in that violence or gore but last night they swooped back. It was my second night of being off. Glad today was a on day canes I was a little freaked out this morning and I felt odd. Then I felt better after my getting my on day. I really feel I’m close and I really can’t go out in public so I don’t. Been working on this for years. Hoping this is a answer. I have noticed the feeling a lot calmer. Keeping the faith.
Hi Billy and Robert, I've had horrible vivid gorey dreams since childhood. Was this something that you were struggling with as well prior to starting this journey? Do you think the journey is helping? Would love to support each other through this. How are things going for you now?
