Summerish Cooking
My boys and I made Old Bay Chicken Dip (we didn’t have any fresh crab 🤣) and fresh strawberry pie today. Some good old fashion family kitchen fun. Diet Culture made me feel like everything I made had to be lean and green and eventually lead to an inability to cook anything because I felt like I was failing. No one in my house actually cares about my pants size and seems a lot happier that we are back to making magic in the kitchen 🥰.

This is part of intuitively eating that I come back to often. Because of my past restriction and that I’m often in a hurry, I forget to real experience each meal. Love being here for all the reminders, it feels good to connect with my body.
Day 15 of The Escaping Diet Culture Series
My hands have a mind of their own today, wow. We are no longer skipping meals my friends! Listen and share your thoughts below.

As an intuitive eater, there are so many things I skip now…. None of them being meals! Everyday I remind myself that my body has basic needs that come first.

It’s amazing how much life there is when the stress around food is alleviated.
Day 7 of The Escaping Diet Culture Series
It's the last day of our What Is Diet Culture Week! Tomorrow, we'll start to dig more into what intuitive eating is. What's the cost of staying in diet & wellness culture, and is it really worth it? Tell me your thoughts on the video after you watch!

For me- The cost was years of my life not being attuned with my own body. This is such a great reminder for me- that trying to control my body through Diet and Wellness (culture) took me so far from who I was and the things I truly want.

And speaking of the other kind of cost… who is saving $$$ on diet/fitness products now? And thinks we should petition Irene into a Nourish to Flourish Retreat?
