Hey Y'all!! I'm Alysabeth Grimes a wife and homeschooling mom to 3. I am currently a truck driver and I am looking to come off the road. We are buying a 5 acre property in Arkansas with our tax return and plan to turn it into a homestead that we run as a business in Trust. Our goals are to document the journey and educate people that going back to our roots while may be hard work can be done on a tight budget and will set you up for survival in the event the worst happens in this country. My families goals are to live simply off the land grow and raise our own food and herbs for medicinal purposes get away from all the junk that is in our foods and environment and do things with the land in mind (permaculture). We also buy and resell items we find in abandonned storage units and liquidation pallets for extra money. But we will want to start selling handmade goods i.e. homemade non toxic all natural bath and body supplies made from things we grow and raise. As well as perserve what we grow and raise but also sell or barter with the excess. I am montized on facebook and instagram but my checks have only been a few dollars at most. I struggle understanding what gets monetized and doesn't i can have one post that only gets half the engagement but will earn lots where another one gets more likes and makes pennies. It makes no sense to me. I also want to branch out our content to tiktok and youtube.
