Hello and Welcome! I am the admin for the blog, and a Mentor to a number of Breeders who are in various stages of their breeding journey. I also have ADHD, which has been both a superpower and a massive challenge to my own Journey but I feel that gives me a unique advantage to being able to hold your hand as you join me in this amazing, rewarding and often challenging adventure. I've been Ethically breeding for almost 6 years now, prior to that I was a Foster home for a local rescue organisation, and all my pets were adopted from Rescue and Shelter situations. I have even been that person who bought a kitten on a whim from a pet store, probably very likely handing over money to a kitten farm. I have had opps litters, I was a Backyard Breeder. I now have a lot of empathy toward those in the same position as I was, as the only way you can do better, is to first realise there is a better way to do it. ♡ I knew after the early passing of a much beloved Fail-Fostered dog who should have lived for so many more years I couldn't continue. She passed due to a totally avoidable, genetic condition, that she inherited due to her 'breeder' and their lack of ethical practices. I finally realised I could no longer be involved in the Rescue & Shelter Machine; facilitating an endless cycle of BYB pets and their breeders poor decisions. I needed to do more, raise the bar, set a higher standard. Promote Ethical and Responsible practices, be a part of the change
