🚨 GCSE English Language Booster Session – Interest Check 🚨
With the English Language exams approaching, I’m considering running a small, focused booster session right before each paper to help your child feel fully prepared and confident. These would be 90 minute sessions designed to cover exactly what your child needs to be successful. What the session will include: ✔️ A breakdown of each exam question (AQA exam board) ✔️ Clear explanation of the Assessment Objectives (AOs) ✔️ What the mark scheme is really looking for ✔️ Key hints and tips to maximise marks ✔️ A full modelled response to each question ✔️ Students will complete exam questions within the class ✔️ Live, on-the-spot feedback on your child’s work (via Google Docs so I can track and mark in real time) Proposed dates: • Wednesday 20th May (6:15pm) ahead of Paper 1 exam (21st May) • Wednesday 3rd June (6:15pm) ahead of Paper 2 exam (5th June) Details: • £20 per student per session • Limited to just 10 spaces per session (to ensure high quality feedback) ⚠️ Important: If your child is already part of my tuition programme, they do not need to enrol aswe will be covering this within their current sessions. 👇 Interested? To help me decide whether to run these sessions: 1️⃣ Like this post 👍 2️⃣ Comment “I am interested” below I’ll then reach out with full details if we have enough interest. These sessions are designed to give students that final boost of confidence and clarity right before they walk into the exam. Let me know below 👇

Interested. Please can you get back to me if these are in diary. AQA and WJEC not a million miles apart.
Now that the English Literature Paper 1 exam is over. How is everyone feeling?
Parents and students, we’d love to hear your thoughts! 👇 Tell us: ✅ What did you or your child find quite straightforward? 😬 What did they find challenging? 📝 Was there anything that surpised them? 💡 Is there anything they now wish they had revised more? And looking ahead to Paper 2 Literature next week (19th May)… ❓What support or advice would help your child most right now? Would they benefit from: • Poetry revision tips? • Retrieval practice ideas? • Essay structure reminders? • Help with timing? • Context refreshers? Let’s help each other and keep supporting our teenagers through these final few weeks 💛 Even if your child found the exam difficult, remember: ✨ One paper does NOT define them. ✨ There is still so much they can achieve next week. Drop your thoughts below 👇

Harley is WJEC - his English Language Exam is next Thursday. 2hr exam. Will revert back next week. He’s got his “additional” homework (thank you). And will send that in on Friday or earlier. He had Biology and Geography yesterday, and has Welsh today.

Anyone reading this: I’ve signed up. My son is WJEC English Language. Not the “exact” syllabus as what’s been taught but close enough to give him what he needs. It’s all in the exam preparation. It’s rinse repeat, rinse repeat at this level!
