Meditation Can Cause NEGATIVE Side Effects?
I guess for those of us who've been in the game a minute or two this sort of thing is obvious but what do you guys think about this? https://scitechdaily.com/meditation-has-potentially-dangerous-side-effects-heres-what-scientists-say-you-should-know/

I mean yeah, ive known people who dont like it because they feel anxious, a person in fight or fight has a hard time processing even "good stress" their nervous system cant tell, and meditation affects the vagus nerve which can acc trigger more psychological unease if they arnt used to the somatic sensations on the parasympathetic nervous system.

@Joseph Holmes from my understanding of meditation through Eastern traditions, when someone’s Root Chakra (Muladhara) is bound or constricted, it’s like their energetic foundation is unstable. The base of the temple isn’t secure, so when they try to ascend through meditation or spiritual work, the energy has nowhere solid to return to. In that state meditation doesn’t feel calming, it feels disembodying, or even threatening because the person is leaving an already fragmented structure. Anxiety often rises because the nervous system interprets that disconnection as danger. Where soul, spirit, and body aren’t lined up, the spirit (as the higher animating principle) may be reaching downward, and the body (as the vessel) may be calling upward, but the soul, the bridge or mediator can’t integrate them. It’s like trying to pour light through a narrow funnel, the energy gets bottlenecked, causing discomfort instead of illumination. You can often sense that in people who meditate but feel “floaty,” “ungrounded,” or anxious after, their subtle body is opening upward before it’s anchored downward. Grounding is foundational in occult work, it was my first realization with Saturn, the pressure I felt was that not punishing discomfort...just the deep urge to stabilize myself ASAP.
Do you create any of your tools?
I had a crazyyyy idea! I was thinking about using the crystal spheres from my planetary transit table not to just help me map them, and their energies into them as I move them daily/doing my planetary prayers etc...but to use for the Trithemius table as well, not just using a clear crystal. I was thinking of ways to scry with the others with ones even if they arnt translucent. Ill have to work out finner details to formulate that but I believe it could work. I am just sitting here thinking about how im creating mine, bc stuff will be here tmrw to start, and I keep getting little aha moments about how I can use it btwn the 3 altars I work with the most...im excited♡

So for blinking I acc close my eyes halfway slowly then open them to retain focus, im blind and I have to adjust my comfort lvl bc things get bright visually, and I get overstimulated more visually than alot of ppl because im missing rods/cones in my retina. its always helped as advice for others too. And I learned in druidry to part the mist myself so I started engaging at first just seeing if I could get it to pass in diff directions like clouds obscuring the Moons glow. And then when I got comfy with that I started imagining it unfurling from a spiral, sometimes I imagine myself going into it to the otherside as well, all 3 are useful instead of just imagining it as something static you have to wait to get through, you can play with it haha.

@Joseph Holmes yes the woman who created it a archdruid from Anceint order of druids in america. I belive her deck has gone through 6editions since 09 or 2012. But it dosnt use ogham, it takes the traditional; pentacles, wands, swords, and cups and places them at diff parts of the tree itself. I noticed theres a diff of color hue/contrast btwn the elements of suite as well. It reads very much like a druidic hermetic pathworking approach which will replace that very boring tree of life diagrams I sometimes have to pull up to help me "see" things. This feels more like a working map for meditation, practice, and exploration of the self. So it can be used for divination as well as a structured tool with a system for gnosis, journying hermetic, and druidic principles. Like it collapses multiple layers of esoteric practice into a tangible tool. 🙏💞

@Joseph Holmes yes! Im using a Druidic system: trees, nature archetypes, seasonal, and spiritual correspondences..but im applying it in a structured, path oriented way, similar to hermetic practices like the Tree of Life. So instead of just pulling cards for divination, I’m using the deck as a map for inner work, meditation, and exploration. Each card is a station, a doorway on a path, like the paths between sephiroth, but through the lens of druidic wisdom. It’s like combining the intuitive, natural, and animistic focus of Druidry with the structured, symbolic, and correspondential approach of Hermeticism...so I can work systematically with inner, and spiritual processes, but in a way that’s grounded in nature. Animism for me is diff than how everyone else would use it, but half of it is still apart of my creative drive for responsiveness in my work so its a hybrid expression. I love it🫶🥹🌈
