A Canonical Zodiacal Siail System: Symbols & Functions
Over the past year, I’ve been developing a symbolic and energetic sigil system based on elemental motion, seasonal cycles, and directional intelligence. This system integrates Druidic spiral philosophy, Hermetic directional theory, and lived elemental initiation. Each symbol encodes movement, not just meaning, how energy enters, transforms, and exits rather than static symbols. This system is copyrighted. You’re welcome to discuss it, explore it, and learn with each other, but full scale teaching, replication, or commercial use isn’t permitted without permission.

Aspect Geometry as Living Symbol & Esoteric Practice
While reading The Only Way to Learn Astrology and reflecting on our discussions around aspect geometry, I realized there is an esoteric layer to aspects that might be useful to share. Beyond the modern psychological meanings (trines = harmony, squares = tension, oppositions = conflict, etc.), the geometry itself carries symbolic and magical meaning. When approached through a Hermetic and initiatory lens, aspects become living geometries that describe how consciousness, matter, and spirit interact. Rather than reading aspects only as personality dynamics, we can also read them as alchemical pathways and magical technologies. ☆Geometry as Living Symbol •Conjunction (1 Point) Unity, Fusion & Incarnation -The conjunction represents the primordial point, unity before division, essence before form. Esoterically, this is the monadic state, where two planetary principles fuse into a single operational force. Rather than dialogue or tension, conjunctions describe complete interpenetration of energies. *In magical and alchemical work, conjunctions indicate: -Embodiment and incarnation of planetary forces. -Areas where consciousness is the energy, rather than interacting with it. -Potent points for invocation, consecration, and direct transmission. *Because the energies are merged, conjunctions often operate below conscious awareness, especially with personal planets. This makes them powerful loci for: -Planetary initiations -Devotional and theurgical practices -Talismanic empowerment -Magical identity formation In alchemy, conjunction corresponds to "Coniunctio" the sacred marriage, the fusion of complementary principles into a new, unified substance. This is the seed of transformation, from which all later differentiation unfolds. •Opposition (2 Points, 1 line) Polarity, Reflection, Alchemy -Oppositions represent duality and polarity: light and dark, inner and outer, conscious and unconscious. Esoterically, oppositions are prime configurations for alchemical work, because they force awareness of contradiction, tension, and reflection. They generate dynamic movement toward synthesis.

The Old Days: MY BSF Review
Was going through my Google Drive cleaning up large files to make space. I pay for 100gbs and I'm nearly at that. While perusing my files I came across this screenshot of my review S. Ben Qayin's "Book of Smokeless Fire" back in 2013 on the Evocation Magic forum (it later became Studio Arcanis but as of 2024 has been offline). Some of you may remember me mentioning this review but I could never find it when going through the forum via the Wayback Machine when I'd check during livestreams. Turns out I had a screenshot of it the whole time! Haha. You can see even in 2013 I had a distaste for the New Age, calling the ritual aspect of the text "hokum" (thank you "Big Bang Theory"!). You can also see others on the forum, many of which were well respected (such as Provenant, BaiLung and Pablo) chime in and offer their perspectives. Unfortunately I believe Frank Redd's response (he's the owner of Nephilim Press, the book's publisher, and since many prominent authors were members of Evocation Magic/Studio Arcanis, so too were a few publishers) is on page 2 or 3 and therefore not in this screenshot. And the Wayback Machine won't let you see any pages other than the first one in a thread (this can be verified by checking the exact same thread here: http://studioarcanis.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12369 ) Check out my review and get a bit of insight into how I thought in 2013!

Meditation Can Cause NEGATIVE Side Effects?
I guess for those of us who've been in the game a minute or two this sort of thing is obvious but what do you guys think about this? https://scitechdaily.com/meditation-has-potentially-dangerous-side-effects-heres-what-scientists-say-you-should-know/

I mean yeah, ive known people who dont like it because they feel anxious, a person in fight or fight has a hard time processing even "good stress" their nervous system cant tell, and meditation affects the vagus nerve which can acc trigger more psychological unease if they arnt used to the somatic sensations on the parasympathetic nervous system.

@Joseph Holmes from my understanding of meditation through Eastern traditions, when someone’s Root Chakra (Muladhara) is bound or constricted, it’s like their energetic foundation is unstable. The base of the temple isn’t secure, so when they try to ascend through meditation or spiritual work, the energy has nowhere solid to return to. In that state meditation doesn’t feel calming, it feels disembodying, or even threatening because the person is leaving an already fragmented structure. Anxiety often rises because the nervous system interprets that disconnection as danger. Where soul, spirit, and body aren’t lined up, the spirit (as the higher animating principle) may be reaching downward, and the body (as the vessel) may be calling upward, but the soul, the bridge or mediator can’t integrate them. It’s like trying to pour light through a narrow funnel, the energy gets bottlenecked, causing discomfort instead of illumination. You can often sense that in people who meditate but feel “floaty,” “ungrounded,” or anxious after, their subtle body is opening upward before it’s anchored downward. Grounding is foundational in occult work, it was my first realization with Saturn, the pressure I felt was that not punishing discomfort...just the deep urge to stabilize myself ASAP.
