When I first opened my business back in 2021, I knew what type of business it needed to be - spiritual one, of course - but I also did not have much going on in terms of spiritual practices. I got certified as a crystal healer in 2019, and for the longest time, I focused on crystal energy. I know about them a whole lot now and can talk about crystals for hours on end. That being said, this was all I had under my belt. Naming a business that is solely based on crystals is an ordeal, I'll tell ya... I tried several different names, and they were all sounding old and boring. One day, I was talking to someone who was picking my brain about what crystals can be used for this and that, and I tried to give the information in as grounded way as possible, not sounding too woo woo... At some point, the person I was talking to stopped, looked at me, and said, "You know, for someone working with a highly spiritual realm, you are very down to earth..." That is what it struck me: Down to Earth Crystal Healer. And thus, my business was born. But I grow, develop, and evolve, and throughout the years, other things were added to my tool belt: I learned to read an astrological oracle called Symbolon; I learned neurographics (later on that); and I learned horary astrology. I use all of those tools for myself almost daily, growing more and more in my spiritual practices. Last year, I realized that I outgrew Down to Earth Crystal Healer. We had a good run, and I don't want to close that business: it did me well for a few years, and without it, I would not be where I am now. Growing is painful, whether the grows is physical or spiritual. I went back to the drawing board: so, now that I do all of those, what can I name myself? The expression "subtle matters" have been floating around in my head and my life for some time until I realized that this is what it all means to me. And this is how Subtle Matters was born. I rebranded and re-did quite a few things in my business, adding another one to the mix.
