I'm curious where everyone is based in the world? I'm in Israel and was wondering if there are others from previous cohorts who are also here? I'd also love to know how people are bringing this work into their practices? Individual sessions, group sessions, online, face to face? I found myself getting overwhelmed at the possibilities and we aren't even there yet ๐Ÿ˜‚

Welcome to the breathwork revolution my friend! The tools, the technology and the tribe in this community have the power to change your world. And when you change Your world, everyone around you benefits. Weโ€™re here to transform, to grow, and to create a better life for ourselves and for others, so in that spirit thereโ€™s two simple things I want you to do: 1. Drop a post and introduce yourself. Where are you from? What are your passions? And most importantly - what kind of life do you want to create? 2. Like, comment and support at least 3 other people in this community. Weโ€™re doing this together, which means showing up together.ย  Stay tuned and watch this space! Good things are coming. Life is a mental game guys! Once you are leveled up on the mental side you can kiss goodbye the cycles of self sabotage and limiting beliefs. This is where you get to become the designer of your own life. Master of your destiny. Get ready.

This is your entry point into a hyper-learning environment primed for maximum growth and transformation. Youโ€™ll find the tools, the techniques, and more than enough motivation to use breathwork to heal every part of your body and your life. The only thing I canโ€™t do for you is breathe. What I can do is tell you to do this: - Do the 5 Day Breathwork Challenge - Sign up for a minimum of 1 deep dive Transformational Breathwork Journey/month - Do the Morning Breath Activation practice EVERY DAY - Hold each other accountable to show up as your best selvesย  - Support, motivate and inspire each other If we do the practices, if we commit to the shifts, if we build a strong community then we cannot fail to create a better world for ourselves and each other. Letโ€™s get it! Brian

@Antonina Arguello hi Antonina! This is a nice surprise! Have you done any of Brian's journeys? This is the type of journey is would have liked to guide you through if we find the time :)

  • 2 likes โ€ข Mar 20

@Antonina Arguello it only gets better :)

First contract!! I'm stoked to share that a counseling practice has signed up for 5 months ( one per month) of staff enrichment for their 12 therapists. There will be a group breath journey each month. Four of them have asked about 1:1 sessions and gift cards for a journey so they could gift them to relatives and friends. I had never thought of that!! I am just so grateful to Brian and the team, as well as to the who community. We are wind beneath each other's wings. It is so exciting seeing this take off. I am humbled and more excited than I have been in years!

This is amazing Joyce!! So so proud of you and happy to witness you on this journey :)

We humans are fueled by incentive and reward. Do something good, feel good about it, rinse and repeat. This is how weโ€™ll sculpt your nervous system so your thoughts and feelings become a source of strength and internal inspiration rather than a source of self-sabotage and suffering. Basically this: the more you put into this group the more youโ€™ll get out. Iโ€™ve designed this ecosystem to reward you for doing the things you know you want to do. The more you do the practices, the more you engage in a positive manner, the more you show up, the more you will get rewarded. In this way we create a positive feedback loop which spirals you upwards to the place you want to be. The other awesome thing? If youโ€™re short of cash but youโ€™re playing full out, youโ€™ll be able to earn the points to access the full 9D Breathwork Community. If thatโ€™s not your jam and you just want access to my Premium stuff right away (cos thereโ€™s no time to waste and youโ€™re on a fu**in' mission) - then go right ahead, click this link and follow the steps. Either way, weโ€™re going to get you where you want to go. Enjoy the journey my friend. My team and I plus this community of game changers will be right there with you every step of the way. Brian

@รine Homer the same for me :) I felt the breathing component of the QF sessions was what started me off on this journey. So when I did one of Brian's journeys last year, I was instantly hooked. I'm getting certified now in Transformational Breathwork and hope to bring the 2 together as they are super powerful.

Today I enrolled for the upcoming 10 week course. Since I signed up early enough, I am going to complete the 30 day challenge which I'm super excited about. I have heard some good feedback on that program. I loved the 5 day challenge so I'm looking forward to the 30 day. If you would have told me a year ago that I would be hanging up my towel as a chef and starting a new path in Reiki, music, and Breathwork, I would have loved the idea but would not have believed it. Starting over at 40 is wild but I like it!

It gets better and better every time. Keep with the practice and you will experience more amazing benefits :)

I finally had a moment to lay down and do the Purge Session. That was very necessary. I highly recommend it to all that have not tried it yet. The last year was a hard one so it felt super relieving letting go of it. I feel completely refreshed. I am so happy I found this group.

I've done it once but I feel it's time to do it again after reading this post :)

After my big struggles with morning routine and stopping with it all i re-started. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป not right away in the morning But little later. Since the second of april i do small breathworks every day. Listening to the book About breath, 5 minute breath, 9 D 12 minute like the start of yesterdays session with Brian and i am proud. I Still been delaying the longer journeys. I keep making all kinds of excuses But feel i will do it this week. I know Its my monkey mind making me not do the work and i want it so bad. Crazy how Its always a struggle. We know Whats good for our bodies and minds, feel so releaved and good after it, But the procrastonation is always Hitting the button and old habits are kicking in. But every day i recognize the old systems better and better ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Thanks for all your support and helping me get over them. I will keep You posted!!!

Awareness is such a great tool in moving forward and taking all those little steps forward too. Now you just need to strength to override and overwrite the old programs once you become aware of the patterns that keep you stuck. You are doing great Yvonne! Keep up the good work and never underestimate the power of even 5 minutes of conscious breath :)

As long as i know i am struggling with morning routine Or rituals. I am not so motivated for that and give up quick. I start fresh with all sorts of it and after a week, sometimes i start skipping days and in the end i quit. Now i am in the MB 30. First week was Great. Week two the struggle came with the holo breath. Now i allready skipped 2 days and Its so hard to get back in it. Does Antbody have tips or advice for me? When do You do it, what helps, what time is the best to do it? I could use an accountability partner. Want this so bad. I it fear or sabotage? Help is really appreciated ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโค๏ธ

@Yvonne Wierenga no problem at all :) Good luck with the move and let me know when you are ready :)

A story with sharing made possible by a life changing modality we all know as breathwork ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป I am an incredible human being โค๏ธ The biggest accomplishment of the last few years of my life has been coming to actually believe it. Before that, I struggled to receive kind words and compliments about how people saw me and the work that I did. Whenever given a compliment, I would immediately deflect it back to the giver and tell them how amazing "they" were. I didn't realize the extent of my challenge until one day, a few friends sitting in a circle shared their reflections of me as a human being at the same time. I had never been showered in so much positive feedback before. All I could do was recoil. Receiving it was a massive challenge.I don't even know where it comes from. My parents and extended family showered me with love and acknowledgement throughout my childhood. But there's an imprint in there somewhere that didn't fully believe how incredible I am as a human and how worthy I am of adoration and love. Recognizing this pattern after all these years presented an incredible opportunity to work on it consciously. I'm sharing this story because I've worked with so many people who are running on this same old distorted and outdated narrative. Now, when I receive a compliment or praise, I use it as an opportunity to really soak it up and deeply receive it at a cellular level.I can honestly say that breaking this pattern has opened up the world to me in ways I could never have imagined. Abundance, prosperity, life purpose, adventure, and opportunities began pouring in from every direction. Now, I'm proud to say that the love I have for myself is in direct alignment with the love I'm so blessed to receive from so many โค๏ธ From personal experience, I firmly believe that loving ourselves fully is the key to unlocking all the richness that God and life have to offer. So yes, I AM INCREDIBLE & I AM WORTHY - and I'll spend the rest of my days helping as many people as I can to remember that they are too. Believe it. โค๏ธ

Thank you for sharing this beautiful lesson with us. I have also started becoming more comfortable with receiving and accepting kind words, nice gestures and little gifts with real gratitude and a deep understanding that I am worth it. It's a beautifully challenging journey to realising and accepting what beautiful beings we are :)

Since reading James Nestor's book Breath, I've started paying more attention to the contractions in my body and I realised that many times when I do breathwork my chest doesn't expand so much. He says that breathing correctly through the nose or practising all kind of techniques won't help much if we don't have the lung capacity to hold the air. So I decided to follow a different approach to breathing and I started doing yoga and the Five Tibetan rites before I do my breathwork practice almost every day. Conclusions: 1. My breathing has become more fluid 2. My chest feels less contracted 3. Breathing is becoming effortless 4. I can hold the breath holds with more ease and enjoy their benefits So, I was wondering what other people in this beautiful community are doing to expand their lung capacity, breathe better and reap more benefits of this amazing tool we have. I would love to hear back from you so we can all inspire each other and grow together.

@Amber Fleming-Shon that's a great suggestion. I do like the 5 Tibetan rites and I think I'm gonna stick to them for longer because I can really see the benefits in my breathing capacity.

Awesome teamwork! I hope you are enjoying the 12 minute activation! It's awesome!

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.We ask ourselves "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?".Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to Shine as children do... We were born to make manifest the Glory of God that is within us. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our deepest Fear, our presence automatically liberates others. This then is our true purpose in life, to discover who we truly are and be all that we can be." - Maryanne Williamson

Questions

Hi everyone. Quick question ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Does rectangular breathing have the same of effect of reducing cortisol as in box breathing? Or does it have a different one? And what is the ideal ratio for the exhale, inhale vs. the holds? Thanks a lot๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

@Franky Descoteaux you can watch some videos on YouTube from Patrick McKeown as he explains it very well. I think Brian uses his video in week 1 of the Certification program.

  • 3 likes โ€ข Mar 21

This is a great discussion. I believe that they can both contribute to lowering the cortisol based on when they are being used. For women it's always a good idea to take into account the time of the month because the hormonal changes in a woman's cycle greatly affect breathing patterns. So sometimes, one technique could be easier to do than the other and so on. James Nestor touches on this slightly in his amazing book Breath so I have started noticing how my cycles affect my breathing and breath holds. I hope that helps :)

"They" say we are what we eat, but wouldn't it also make sense that we are what we breathe. I'm sure that a breathwork journey out in nature would have a different effect than that same journey taken at a busy intersection. Studies have shown that our indoor air quality is sometimes worse than what we experience outside, yet most people do their breathwork inside. I'm awaiting the arrival of a negative ion generator, which should give me nature quality, mountain top air in the space where I do most of my breathwork and journeys. I'll keep you posted.

    @Amber Fleming-Shon Tomorrow i'll give it a go even if i'm gonna scream :)

Good morning beautiful ones. I am reaching out for support. Some days living with cptsd kicks my a**. I find myself in a self-saboatge shame cycle again and this one has been a doozy. Full of overwhelm, avoidance, self-deprecating self talk, binge eating and spending money recklessly. Laying on the couch doom scrolling. Ugh. I feel shame around not leading a single journey thus far. I did some Journaling this morning and my shame is wrapped around success, that's all that mattered to my ex. If I didn't succeed at something, and I never did in his eyes, I wasnt good enough, smart enough, worthy enough, deserving of anything. I wasn't wife enough or mother enough. I'd never get it right and I'd just mess things up for him to have to fix. Better of just staying in the background as a pretty little thing. Just a trophy wife. More that 20 years of manipulation, control, gaslighting, abuse. That's the garbage that still runs through my head nearly 10 years later. I'm free now but I'm not. I am so afraid of not succeeding. That fear becomes paralyzing. I numb out, that became my befault survival mechanism. Even though I'm in a safe, loving and supportive marriage now my brain doesn't always believe it. Ive been working on healing my mind, making better connections and associations for my mind. I know what I need to do but I can't get my mind, body and emotions together to do it. To that end I am asking for recommendations on journeys to help get me up and over this bump in the road. I haven't done a journey in a couple weeks and I definitely feel the difference. Maybe I need to revisit a journey I've already done? I overthink everything so help me keep it simple! I know I can't effectively use the medicine of breathwork to help others if I don't use it first to help myself. Thank you all for being the amazing human beings you are. โค๏ธ

Thank you so much for sharing! It takes a lot of courage to be so raw and real with yourself and feel safe to open up to us. That is already a massive step you are taking forward in your healing. When I started the Certification, it took me many weeks to start guiding sessions. Be kind to yourself as you will do it when it feels right. And after the first session you will feel so empowered to continue. It does give you wings. You can practise with me if you want :) I know someone on the Certification program who did Brian's journeys every day to keep herself going despite her life collapsing all around her. Now, she's overcome all obstacles and it's only onwards and upwards for her. I think this could be something you could try to get yourself out of the rut. Reach out as we are all here to support you :)

From when I remember myself, all I was dreaming about was to become a mother.. To have a baby, a beautiful, happy, loving family. Fast forward, at the age of 22 I left Athens in Greece, the place where I was born, and came to Cyprus. I felt that I was suffocating there (very strict parents, critical, never felt enough, felt unworthy no matter what I did but this is not the point of the post...) and that everything was better, easier and simpler in Cyprus. Especially for having a family. And they are. It wasn't easy in the beginning but now I can say that it is the best decision I've made so far. I found a well-paid job as an accountant, I bought a car, I bought my apartment, everything was going really well. And by the age of 29 I got married. To a really nice, caring, loving man. Life was good. Until we started trying to get pregnant.. And we couldn't. Doctors, tests, drugs, 4 IVFs, nothing.. No matter how hard we were trying, I couldn't keep the babies. The hurt, the pain, the disappointment, the grief, the sadness, the unworthiness, all stayed inside me. I thought that I had to show up as being strong and unaffected of what was going on. To be proud, no matter what.. Until I reached to a point, that I didn't want to hear about trying again and the worst part that I am still ashamed of, I didn't want to be near children.. They were getting at my nerves! I didn't want them. I didn't want them to want me, to be around me, to show me love.. I was numb inside. I felt that there was no purpose in my life, that there was no meaning in life! I was feeling nothing. All these affected really really bad my relation with my husband but thank God we managed to stay together. I found the strength to seek help, when my vervous system was not taking it any more and the anxiety, fear of death and panic attacks were uncontrollable. I refused to take drugs and I started yoga therapy, akasha energy healing, I changed my diet. And decided to become a yoga teacher! And later, yoga therapist, because I saw the big shifts that yoga offered me. I wanted to offer this freedom to the whole world! And in 2019, I quitted my job, and became a full time yoga therapist.

Just completed the 5 minute breathwork. My baby girl has been sharing how she is seeing double of people. We believe she might have one lazy eye. And today when my husband shared she said she saw 2 of her older brother, fear came into my body. So rather than ignoring it and telling myself I'm OK, I did this 5 minute breathwork exercise and felt so empowered afterwards. She is going to be OK! I know it and trust everting is happening for her and me perfectly! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™ Thank you @Brian Kelly for this gift!

I did Reece's Kundalini Journey this morning and I found it very challenging. I hadn't done any Rebirthing breathing journey before and breathing in my upper chest for so long made me very aware of all the tension I hold there and that my thoracic area is very contracted. The journey knocked me out a few times, including at the end which has never happened to me before. So for me it was a great sign and I'm definitely gonna repeat it in the near future :) Thank you Reece :)

#Dec 5, 2022 Kundalini Awakening Journey with Reece This was my most powerful session yet to date, what I feel was the closest experience yet to a pineal activation. Amazing when the brain is completely free and untapped from society. The flow through the chakras and the release was very easy to understand, I drew a image right away. I officially feel intimated in becoming a coach, need to travel further on my path first. I do feel as though there was a connection to the kundalini, anyone care to connect a few dotes.

I read the book a couple of years ago and since then I've gifted it to many friends for their birthdays and I've recommended it left and right. From it, I've learnt to say YES to life whenever the opportunities arise and observe my discomfort and inner chatter when doing so :) It's a great book to encourage awareness of oneself and how to live life with all the gifts it gifts us ๐Ÿ’—

So I set an intention. Set the date crammed hard whilst doing my day job. The session was successful. Take aways from this were; Take more time in the introduction. Take a leadership role, by demonstrating the breath I almost participated myself which made the facilitation difficult along with timing the breath and the music delivery. Iโ€™m holding another next week a holotropic journey 45minutes. I will have a solid introduction and take ownership of the space to ensure breathers keep breathing. Ensuring people feel safe enough to let go. Iโ€™m so glad I did it. Even though I wasnโ€™t fully prepared the experience was invaluable.

Awesome work Chris! Every journey gives us so much to learn from. Every so-called failure is a beautiful lesson.

Hello Breath Magicians ๐Ÿ’ž I'd like to share with you my first PS journey of ACCEPTANCE. I enjoyed creating it, basing the path to healing on the four noble truths (a major concept in Buddhism). It's short and works great before bedtime or just for calming down the bananas hungry monkey ๐Ÿ’ in our heads ๐Ÿ˜ Love the support emanating here, thank you all for your presence ๐Ÿ™ https://youtu.be/nC7t9cHvgtA

@Anati Bloch always a pleasure to learn from others and share the medicine with the world ๐Ÿ’—

As we navigate the transformative times on our planet, it has never been more important to tap into the energy of the heart. The heart holds the key to so much wisdom, love, and compassion, and I believe that our collective journey toward the heart is essential for personal growth, healing, and the betterment of our world. That is why I created the "Journey of the Heart" Breathwork Journey, as a way for each of us to step into the knowledge of the heart and connect with our inner selves in a deep and meaningful way. I hope that this experience has provided every one of you who could attend this session on Tuesday, with an opportunity to connect with your heart and tap into its infinite wisdom. In these times of uncertainty, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and disconnected, but I believe that by coming together and connecting with our hearts, we can create a world filled with love, compassion, and understanding. Once again, I extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation to every one of you for being a part of this Heart remembering the journey. Your presence and participation have created a warm and loving energy that will stay with me always.๐Ÿ™ I hope that every one of you received exactly what meant to be and if there is anything I can do for you to support you further with integration, my space is always open. With love, gratitude, and appreciation to all of you for showing up and keep breathing and evolving for leveling up the energy of your being and the energy of the entire Planet. My beyond gratitude and aporeciation to @Brian Kelly for holding this space, seeing not just me but all of us and for having an magical opportunity to serve in this space. Thank youโค๏ธโœจ๐Ÿ™โฃ With Love and Light Marina

Thank you Marina! I look forward to doing the journey ๐Ÿ’—

I just finished reading the book "Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art" by James Nestor. It was on Brian's reading list I think in week 2 of the current cohort. It's fantastic. One of the reviews on the book jacket says "It will change the way you breathe". This is so true!! Since reading it, I have become much more mindful of my breath. I discovered I have been a mouth breather, which I didn't think I was at the beginning of our course. I tried mouth taping and now do it every night. I have obstructive sleep apnea and have been using a CPAP device nightly for almost 3 years. After taping for a couple of nights with the CPAP, I decided to try not using it and just taping. I did that for about 10 days straight and felt like I was sleeping as well as I was with the CPAP. After reading deeper into the book and learning more about the value of CPAP's (I will take all the oxygen I can get), I am back to using the machine with taping. The difference now is I don't feel chained to the CPAP, which is huge for me, as I am a pretty free spirit. I now know I can go camping, on vacation or whatever and do well with just mouth taping. I feel like eventually taping and other practices the author (and Brian) recommends will heal the sleep apnea and help my sleep be deeper and more restorative. This work we are doing is so amazing - not only for others, but just as much for ourselves!๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

@Josean Zingale I agree! I had no idea that breath could actually change the shape of our faces and affect our teeth. Since I've learnt this, I always make sure my children breathe correctly through their nose to avoid any teeth problems also give them more foods that they can chew to exercise their jaw muscles. I'll definitely read the book again! So much to learn still :)
