Hi there I totally understand this having 4 neurodiverse boys myself and 2 with big sensory struggles around food. A few things I have learnt… - take the pressure off meal times and do what helps and calms. We have screens at the table when needed and don’t often all eat at the same table! - Always have safe foods on the plate when introducing new foods. - Desensitising with food is a great way to introduce new things but it takes time and patience! First tolerating it on the table, then the plate and so on. I can give more info on this it helpful? - Supplement with a vitamin if you can. - Get them involved in shopping, prepping and serving it appropriate and they enjoy. - Accept lots of days it won’t go to plan!! - Don’t feel guilty when it doesn’t work out. Limited diets don’t always stay that way and can change. - Be led by your child and their needs not what others say. Still learning myself… hope some of this is helpful.
