My name is Omar, and I’m excited to be part of the Pivot2Tech community. I joined because I’m serious about transitioning into this tech space while staying aligned with my values, and I really appreciate that this is a Muslim-run space focused on growth, discipline, and mutual support. I come from a background in systems and business analysis and have worked closely with data, processes, and problem-solving. I also have a couple of years of professional sales experience, where I developed strong skills in communication, relationship management, and understanding customer needs. I’m here to sharpen my skills, learn from others on similar paths, and—Insha’Allah—pivot into the next stage of my career with intention and consistency. Hello Everyone, I'm Alfarook Saleh and I recently joined this group with the intention to make hijrah from the United States In Sha Allah. I'm an Electrical Engineer with 3 years of experience in Machine Vision and I want to make the shift from working as an engineer in America to a geographically unrestricted freelancer. Some general information about me: I was born in America and I'm of Yemeni descent. I've always been interested in engineering, specifically automation and robotics. I find coding to be enjoyable but I could never actually find a job to code robots as the competition is fierce. I like to learn about machines, how they function, and if I could somehow use that knowledge in my day-to-day life. I have zero background in sales. I'm actually quite introverted so I avoid social events pretty often and sales is all about being social. I understand this is a big limiter, but In Sha Allah I will start to break this habit with this course as being social is essential to life and very important for business. A forewarning to the support team — I am very meticulous so please forgive me if I ask too many questions and start to become annoying. I will put the effort in In Sha Allah, but a major reason I joined this group is for sincere, genuine guidance. I'm very excited to learn the valuable skills I see are being offered in this community and I pray that everyone finds great success Bi-ithn Allah Ta'aala.
