Tools. Every do-it-yourselfer needs them. The most common question I hear is this: " What do I actually need to get started?" To that, I usually ask what type of DIY projects the person wants to do. General home repair tools will differ from those of someone who wants to be more focused on paths such as woodworking or metal fabrication for profit. Over the next few days, I'll be dropping posts covering different toolbox lists based on different DIY paths. The four main DIY categories I'll be covering will be: 1. A general home maintenance toolbox 2. A woodworker's basic toolbox 3. A metal fabricator's toolbox list. 4. A gardener's toolbox list. These lists will cover the basics for each path, but will by no means be exhaustive in their coverage. The goal is to give you a solid starting point for each path. If you have a different DIY path you're interested in, drop it in the comments below, and I'll work on creating a basics list for that path.
