Pen to Paper, Mouth to Mic...
Halo Head started out as one girl… One song… Sung by one man. One heart. One hope. One prayer. And one quiet question to one friend… "Hey… who’s she?" But somewhere along the way, Halo Head became more than music. More than lyrics. More than an album. It became a story about faith, timing, connection, and the way certain people can walk into your life and completely change its direction without even trying. Halo Head is still about one girl. The girl. The one. And I’m still just one man with one heart, one hope, and countless prayers that, somehow, are being answered one by one. There’s a scripture in The Book of Mormon that says: > “Ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.” — Ether 12:6 At first, that verse drove me insane. Because faith is difficult when your heart is already completely invested. When every emotion feels heightened. When you care so deeply it almost overwhelms you. But now… I understand it a little better. Because sometimes the witness comes slowly. In quiet moments. In trust. In peace. In laughter. In hands almost touching. In souls slowly learning each other. And when it finally arrives, it feels like light breaking through after the longest storm. Hearts draw close. Souls combine. And somewhere in the middle of all of it… the spark of a future ignites. — Al Rafael / Halo Head

Treat people as you would wish to be treated yourself. Not because The Bible tells us to. Not because people are watching. Not because you feel like you probably should. But because they are another human being ☺️
Saturday night was sleepless...
As I lay here unable to sleep, with a head full of noise and a heart full of hope, I think I finally understand more of why I love and need Halo Head as a person… and less of why God would place that kind of love in my heart if it was only ever meant to travel one way. At least right now anyway. I always knew there’d be a Halo Head2. I just honestly thought it would happen much later than this. Funny thing is… she asked me if I’d write more songs. Truthfully? I still have a million of them in my head waiting to be written. Because I still have a million adventures left with her. Good days. Bad days. Chaos. Laughter. Fear. Hope. Every moment becomes a concept. Then lyrics. Then melodies. Then recordings. Then cut tracks and sleepless nights in the studio while the label prepares to launch them out into the world. And somehow… all of that becomes Halo Head2. So yeah… I’m already on it. First single produced. “AGONISED” is out on YouTube and streaming platforms now. But in the meantime… Someone please explain to this guy how he’s supposed to sleep instead of laying here wondering if the girl behind the Halo is okay tonight. Head full of noise. Heart full of hope. – Al Rafael
