A weak core can lead to more than poor movement—it can lead to injury.
Many horses struggling with balance, hollow movement, or a weak topline aren’t just dealing with a training issue. Often, the problem starts with core strength. The core muscles stabilize the spine, support the back, and help the horse move with strength and balance. When those muscles are weak, the body starts to compensate—and over time that extra strain can increase the risk of injury. The challenge is that many horse owners were never taught how to recognize these early signs or how to help their horse build strength properly. Over the next few days, I’m going to be sharing educational content about: 🐎 Equine anatomy 🐎 Common illnesses and health concerns 🐎 How movement and posture affect the body 🐎 Simple strength-building exercises that support a healthier horse I’ll also be announcing a new learning module designed to help horse owners better understand their horse’s body and overall health.
