Hi everyone, After six months of consistent grinding and uploading, my channel is finally monetized! 🎉 However, I’ve noticed the setup process feels a bit confusing. When I check my dashboard, it still shows that I’m not ready for payment and that I haven’t yet met the payment threshold. From what I understand, it seems I just need to wait until YouTube sends an email confirming that I’m ready to complete the payment setup. That message on the side says: “No action needed right now — you haven’t yet met the payment threshold to receive payment.” Once that happens, I’ll be able to confirm my personal information, submit tax details, and provide a payment method. Thanks in advance for any insights — I didn’t expect this next step to be so tricky, lol. Always appreciate the help from the community!

Hi everyone, I know this might sound like a simple question, but I’m still seeing quite a few YouTube videos claiming that you need 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours to qualify for monetization. Just to confirm with the community — as of 2026, the updated requirements are 500 subscribers and 3,000 public watch hours within the last 12 months (or 3 million Shorts views in 90 days). It’s great to see YouTube making monetization more accessible for smaller creators, and I wanted to double‑check this with fellow creators here to ensure we’re all on the same page. HI All, Been awhile since my last post here, almost 5 months in 1000 subs on the channel now about 640 hours to go to hit that 3000 watch hour mark. Why I'm saying all this I'm sure we are all at different stages on our YouTube journey. Honestly, I have just been following my own rules instead of hearing all that noise out there.
