Super interesting questions @Jessica Trotter - I love the big thinking here! I think that how we individually view God/Universe/Source impacts this question significantly and I wouldn't say there's a right or wrong answer. I tend to lean into "Universe" and for me this is not one single entity. For me, the universe has a vastness that encapsulates guides, ancestors, gods/goddesses, archangels, and my higher consciousness/self. At this time (open to perspectice changes as I continue to learn and grow), I don't personally believe that wrong or bad advice is given if we set the intention to call in higher power to work for our highest good. And in situations where the 3D me may not understand or like the information given, I think this is probably bumping up against my ego in some way (e.g, there is a soul lesson at play, whether it be highlighting a blind spot of mine, an old pattern of operating or a mindset that I am meant to let go of ). Love the higher self question- my current understanding is that our higher self holds the encyclopedia of knowledge of all our soul's lifetimes learning/knowledge/wisdom. This is very simplistic, so I'm keen to hear other people's thoughts here -especially those who are big into the Akashik records!
